Scammer warning! Return of user known as goatrider & cees

hey folks! sorry to deliver some bad news, but a scammer that we've done our best to keep tabs on has yet again returned this forum.

We have caught him here before he has done damage, and I hope it's the same again.

The user currently known as "ASTALDO" has been discovered to be the one and the same user as GOATRIDER, and most recently as aklass and cees and blubook.

IF YOU HAVE A PENDING TRADE WITH THIS USER, PM MYSELF OR ANOTHER MOD IMMEDIATELY!!!

He did.

Any new member that does not provide references or other info to a staff member or trading mod will have their thread disabled until they comply.

There was only one member that contacted him that I know of...and I sent that member a pm.

I'm 100% sure he is the same user. Both the same names, that's too obvious.

Just compare the IP-addresses. At the moment I'm trying to ask a moderator of a forum, too look at his IP-address. So maybe I can share it with the mods from BD & this forum.

Same guy, most scammers try to be "legit" to their home Country or at least one forum of choice. This guy scams at all forums except one dutch forum that I'm aware of.

i got stung when he was using goatrider on this forum! payed £65 for a supposed copy of indy 4 that never turned up and after 2 messages saying he sent it then dissapeared fortunately i got my money back from paypal.

Yeah, unfortunately that was the first time he was on here, so we didn't have too much experience looking for him.

I hope we're doing a better job now.

Thats why the best defense against scammers is an active trading community that not only looks out for themselves, but also other members and contacts a mod if they see something suspicious.

yeah its good that hes being picked up early now, it wasnt very nice getting hit like that. ive noticed over at BRF.com he is using blubook over there as a new member putting in posts.

Thanks for this post, I decided to not start a transaction over a BD forum with that member. Was going to pull the trigger today, but decided not taking the chance

DB is currently working on the issue I have with not being able to view announcements reguarding Spam, but I have let Mods know of suspicious activity before.
