After pulling in over $100 million worldwide in theaters, this year’s brand new Scream movie is getting a sequel, with “Scream 6“ officially ordered up by Paramount and Spyglass!

Production is already set to kick off this summer, we’ve learned, with Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett returning to direct the franchise’s next installment!

James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick are also back to write the script.

Creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of Radio Silence, Chad Villella, are executive producing alongside Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.

No plot details are available at this time, and without spoiling anything about this year’s movie, there are still plenty of characters alive to do battle with the next Ghostface…

Announced last month, Paramount and Spyglass have ordered up Scream 6 in the direct wake of Scream‘s box office success, and we now have a release date for the next sequel.
Scream 6 will slash into theaters on March 31, 2023!

Nooo! No no no, how can they not pay enough to the main star? Might as well make a TV series without her. Wait... they already did. Twice.
Neve Campbell isn't too popular either, is she demanding too much, I don't know. Either way the studio better pay up, 'cause they will lose more, without her in revenue anyway. It's a lose-lose situation.

Any chance she is in it and will be Ghostface and this is some poor attempt to keep it a secret, seems a little odd they announced this the day they start filming, would it not cause a delay in filming and the script needing changed? Unless her character wasn't in it that much and can be easily edited out which makes her pay demand a little greedy asking for a quarter of the films budget if she had very little screen time.

Courtney Cox just posted she's done shooting Scream, I assume this 6th one.
So they're done already, at least scenes involving her.
Still sad they're actually going ahead without Neve Campbell, but I always have the first 4 to go back to, I guess...
It's repeating the Halloween franchise. After a couple of films tank, they'll get Neve back.
