Dear Customers,

Thank you for your patience whilst we’ve developed our 4K restoration plans for David Fincher’s Seven. We’re pleased to announce that the restoration will finally be released in early 2025, with a brand-new 4K scan carefully overseen by Fincher.

We will be releasing two products: a Digipak and a Steelbook release, both developed and designed by the director himself. These products will replace the previously announced What’s in the Box and Ultimate Collector’s Edition versions.

Pre-order for the new products will go live in early November. Apologies again for the delay, and thank you for understanding. We can’t wait for you to experience Seven in more detail and depth than ever before."

Apologies for any inconvenience this cancellation might cause, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding.

Thanks again for your support, we’re excited to share this new release with you soon!

Still seems too much of a coincidence that Allen visited the site of many murders with the kids, taught ciphers in school when he was a teacher....and you know..., the killings stopped when he was locked up.

That mother in the documentary sure knew how to pick guys
It very likely was him, but again... their documentaries haven't always been completely factual in the past and they follow their own narrative rather than exploring other possibilities, so I guess I'm just very wary of them nowadays. Some (or maybe it was just one) of the sites the kids claimed to have visited was apparently untrue. Don't want to go into details, but the personal experience I referred to in my last post was to do with a relative of mine who was once accused of a rather serious crime due to "coincidences" and it almost ruined their life until the real culprit accidentally confessed. So yeah, I always stand by innocent until proven guilty.

Lol mate, it is. Do some research on them and you'll soon realise how they manipulate certain things to cater to their own story. There's been massive discussions/complaints about the way Netflix do their docs over the years... even very recently with the Menendez bros.

Exactly, it's one sided... that was my point, which you've proven. Again, look it all up and you'll soon find not everything they claimed is factually true. I was more or less convinced myself until I spent the rest of the night reading up about all these new claims.

But yeah, not saying it definitely wasn't him. There's a good chance it was! But until there's hard and clear evidence from officials, I'm staying open minded... innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz.

There's no way you can say it's 100% him though... he would've been charged by now if that were the case lol. 99%, sure. But 100% based on "coincidences" rather than straight facts or clear evidence....nah.

I love the film, but it's just that, a film, based on a book. Both of which rely on making sales of course, so they're gonna exaggerate things to some extent for entertainment (and :greedy:) purposes.

I'm probably just being stubborn for the sake of not wanting to appear naive anyway, and a personal experience years ago taught me not to judge so quickly or believe everything I hear/read.

All that said, it's an enjoyable watch whether you believe it or not, so Netflix win again! :p
The point I was getting at was you mention that Netflix often lie. I’ve known you 10 years on here. We’ve pretty much spoke to each other about every film we’ve seen. I’ve mentioned hundreds of times in our group chat about Netflix crime/ serial killer docs and recommended them and not once have you said you watch the docs. Maybe tiger king back when that came out because the whole world watched it. I’ve mentioned and spoke about so many in the GC to the point JBT thinks I’m a nutta for watching so many lol. So I find it hard to take your judgment that they lie. Because all the crime docs I’ve watched are factual. I’ve seen a few where in famous cases they’ve missed out some info and stuff like that. But unless it’s coming from a certain angle like for example this new zodiac doc because it’s all based on Allen their docs are literally the best thing they do. Their films and most series are sh!t but one thing they do right are crime docs

The Menendez series they made with Bardem is very bias and glamourises the brothers. That’s the angle they took for the series but the doc that came out around the same time is just the case. So yeah with that they’ve manipulated and glamourised for the TV series but not for the doc

Graysmith didn’t exaggerate though. He spent years going through police files and evidence built up over the years from all the different police departments. The zodiac killer will never be found and 100% proven. It’s gone too far. He got away with it. And (even if it’s not Allen) most likely dead. But he was the main suspect. All the evidence they did have pointed toward him. The reason he wasn’t caught is because of luck and police stupidity. They had him twice, both in the areas of 2 crimes. But they ignored him and let him go twice. That’s how he got away. Then he spent 4 years incarcerated for another crime which made it harder for them to pin it even though the zodiac stopped killing during that time. That family in that new doc as kids have photos and evidence putting him at the time and places of other killings the zodiac committed but didn’t realise this until after he and their mother died. Like I said he’s the top suspect, always have been, he was sneaky, he used to get the kids to make his outfits, too many coincidences. But you can’t make an arrest or charge someone on coincidences. It’s 100% him. Always has been and always will be. But and as you say there will always be other suspects. There always is with literally every crime.

Anyway. It’s a great doc for anyone to watch if your a fan of the case or the film

That mum went to the grave with everything. Savage what she must of accepted. I see it coming but I was so annoyed that after she popped they didn’t have the “box” that was mentioned.

My opinion after watching it was you have to be pretty stupid to not see it’s him. So no disrespect there Noodles, that was my thoughts last week before we spoke about it. I love you (and I don’t think your stupid….. except about this particular subject lol :naughty:;))

Mate, I'm one of the few who actually really likes Alien 3! I know the studio ultimately butchered Fincher's original vision but still a good watch imo
Recently watched the original assembly cut version. Can’t believe there’s no alien dog!!! Instead comes out of an Ox!! Wtf

Still didn’t like it too much but I do prefer it because there’s times some characters just disappear with no explanation in the normal version and the assembly cut explains things a bit more

Also rewatched Resurrection and I think it’s aged pretty well and I found a new love for it. Watched them leading up to Romulus so was quite happy to see Romulus take some inspiration and pay it’s respects to it!

Hmm yeah, don't recall us ever really discussing crime docs tbh, which is surprising, since I watch tons of them lol. I remember you went mad for Tiger King, but I only ever made it 2 episodes in as I couldn't stand it. But when it was blowing up, I recall even then reading about how some of that was basically scripted. I don't read everything in the group chat anyway (too lazy to catch up half the time) and there was a period when I didn't read it at all for months. Think there have been occasions where I've seen you give your opinion on certain docs, and I most likely disagreed so decided to keep my mouth shut lol. I'm not just saying it to try and prove my point though... I thought it was common knowledge by now that Netflix documentaries in particular are often full of sh!t.

But anyway, cba to go on about it any more... you've made up your mind and I've made up mine :)

Some great real crime docs on British streaming services btw. I'm forever browsing for them on iPlayer and 4oD etc. A good one I watched recently was 'The Body Next Door' on Sky/Now TV.

I actually have a soft spot for it too. It's certainly not as bad as Resurrections! Still, don't think I'd be willing to spend that kind of money on it.

Well, the digi is no better than the steel. Just a bunch of stills meshed together. What a piss poor release this is. The slip of the cancelled steel release was miles ahead of any of this tat.
