Dear Customers,

Thank you for your patience whilst we’ve developed our 4K restoration plans for David Fincher’s Seven. We’re pleased to announce that the restoration will finally be released in early 2025, with a brand-new 4K scan carefully overseen by Fincher.

We will be releasing two products: a Digipak and a Steelbook release, both developed and designed by the director himself. These products will replace the previously announced What’s in the Box and Ultimate Collector’s Edition versions.

Pre-order for the new products will go live in early November. Apologies again for the delay, and thank you for understanding. We can’t wait for you to experience Seven in more detail and depth than ever before."

I'm wondering if the US steelbook will also be matte finish like the Euro steelbooks. I will cancel the US steelbook and go with the digipak if I find out in time that it's also matte. I suppose I could put a 4K disc in one of my Manta steelbooks.

Wow, what a letdown. Mattest of matte and printed credits on the back. 2008 called and wants its Steelbook design back

I don't think anyone was expecting miracles with this. Lacklustre printed all over it from day one. I had low expectations so I'm cool with this dumbed down steelbook.

Digipak looks good, but I was hoping for an amaray so I could pick up the 4k disc cheap as chips later down the line.

There probably will be one released but further on down into 2025 after the collectors editions sell for a while.

Yikes. The digipack release doesn't look great either. The set looks to me to be quite thin and cheap. The discs slide in flat as well. Much like the Interstellar release but these slide in horizontally on the left and right. Blu rays are turning into LPs now.

Steelbook could be the better of the two after all. I'm not a fan of the slide in discs. Plus the cardboard seems thin.
Not sure if the J Card is integrated onto the slipcase? I couldn't tell.

Nothing odd. Mobile keypad typo. Fat fingers + predictive words + previous use text = Syntax and spelling of a 6 year old.

Although, he completely ignored the slipcase. No look at that. It kind of got left out.
