Oh, and I was reading up on an article saying the best and worst things about this movie (when searching to see if a sequel had been confirmed) and there was something glaring I missed
Jason Statham is 52, Vanessa Kirby is 31. 21 year age gap, yet in the flashbacks in the movie showing them younger, he looks about 2-4 years older maximum. IDK, but given the ridiculousness of this movie it's probably easy to miss/accept.

it does not mean that their real ages are what they are portraying in the movie.

Real life ages don't reflect movie ages...Tom Holland is 23 in real life but he plays a high school kid in Spiderman :spiderman:

And Michael J Fox is 24 in Back to the Future :D
I think 21 age gap in a movie that the characters are meant to be a few years apart though does take the biscuit a bit!

Ya but in MJF defense he goes back to 1885 so he's like -100 years old talk about an age gap

Indeed, applying logic to a F&F spin off - Why isn't it acceptable these days in Hollywood that women can't play older parts? Vanessa Kirby was playing a 49 year old action heroine :joy:
