This film really took me by surprise... on paper, it's not really my sort of thing at all, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very surprised to see it getting the premium treatment, but I'm not complaining of course. :D

I will say the steelbook isn't quite doing it for me though... hate when they just use a still from the movie as artwork, especially when the colours clash between the front and back (it literally goes from bright to dark).

It also feels like the title should be above them in the clouds to use up the empty space, and it kinda sucks they've used the same art for one of the slips too.

All that being said, I feel we're lucky to see a steelbook for this at all, so I'll pretty much take what I can get... beggars can't be choosers and all that.

I absolutely love this film and am pleasantly surprised by the steelbook announcement.

I’m in for the purple slip edition. :)

Absolutely aadore this movie but considering how great the original artwork for this is, this leaves a lot to be desired.

The first slip reuses the artwork from the steelbook & the purple slip is another group shot that looks weird with the plain background.

Slip A would have been much better with the original green artwork with Conor & Raphina on the front & then the picture used of Raphina holding the frame on the back.

:OMG:

Sing Street is probably my favourite movie of all-time; I love it!

I've never ordered from KIMCHI DVD, but I just broke my cherry for this release. In CAD, with shipping, I paid too much, but I can't pass on this.:thanks:

Can't afford it right now, so will pick it up in the new year if still available. Not sure which I'll go for though... both have different pros and cons.

Completely agree with your criticisms here dude! The light to black artwork doesnt really work and the still from the movie as artwork is rubbish especially that it is on the front of the steel and the blue slip......which I opted for. I couldnt let this pass! I absolutely loved this movie and have been waiting for a premium forever to go with Begin Again and Once!!

Hmm yep, the steel is a bit of a mess overall IMO. I do really like that blue slip though... just a shame it uses the same art as the steel (I'd rather they switched up the latter rather than the former). I also don't get the choice of purple & yellow for the other slip - makes me think of Cadbury's Caramel chocolate bars lol.

By the way, I think you were actually the reason I even gave this film a watch in the first place mate... I remember someone an Instagram raving about it back when it first came out, so that's when I decided to give it a chance. And thank God too, because I really enjoyed it!
