I love all of their albums, personally. Alot of the tracks are on Youtube and other places if ya want to check them out first.. They have 4 albums currently. Purgatory Dance Party, Sex Offender, Last Call In Jonestown, and From Bethlehem To Oblivion (Christmas album). Alot of the guys from Polkadot are in other bands as well. Bands they're either currently in, or were in, in the past. The lead singer from Polkadot either currently sings in or has sung in in the past: Dog Fashion Disco, El-Creepo!, Knives Out!, The Alter Boys. Dog Fashion Disco just got back together this year and released the album Sweet Nothings. If you like Polkadot, be sure to check out the album Adultery, from Dog Fashion Disco. Seeing you like System Of A Down, check out the DFD album, Anarchists Of Good Taste. The song Mushroomcult, features Serj. He's a big fan of DFD.

The keyboard player, plays keyboard and is one of the singers for the band Ideamen. He was in a band before Ideamen, called Duct Tape Mustache.

love CoX (get it ?)

very the sisters of mercy like, which is always a good thing.
I was always a COX fan back to the first album. (Middle career had ups and downs when they were just XYMOX).
I was never a big Sisters fan, mainly because Eldritch was such egomaniacal jerk with his band....I ended up a much bigger fan of Hussey and The Mission. (It was kinda like a divorce with Sisters, where some fans went with Hussey and the other fans went with Eldritch!!).
C.O. XYMOX lost a lot when they lost Peiter Nooten after album 4. He was as integral a member as Ronny Moorings. I HIGHLY recommend all of his solo stuff, starting with 'Sleeps With The Fishes' with Michael Brook on 4AD records. (It has a lot of material that ended up on COX 2nd album Medusa). I actually corresponded with him about 5 or 6 years ago urging him to write again!
And he did! (Probably not because of me, but let me think so!). Anyway- so he put out 3 amazing albums (ambient style) that are as good as any of Eno's stuff. And he does everything on a MacBook Pro! No Outboard gear!!
Amazing...

**EDIT- I'm going to beat you to the punch on what I said about Sisters...

Great album. Weird though. Kinda a weird shot at mainstream back on UNI records and produced by (of all people), Bill Laswell!. (They did not get along great). But I love it. Listen to the lyrics of the last song GODDAMN THE SUN, and you will be moved. (It's like the closest Gira has ever gotten to a Tom Waits Asylum Years-type Ballad!)
The addition of Jarboe as a female voice in the band mellowed him.
