TWO MCU VETERANS REPORTED TO BE CONFIRMED FOR ‘SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME’

via The Real Stan Lee

Spider-Man: Far From Home is shaping up to have quite the cast if all of the rumors that have been floating around are true. For one, there have been rumored to be more villains from the Spider-Man universe than any film in the past, and for another, the confirmations of who is actually a part of the film keep stacking up. While some of the names, specifically the villains, are newcomers, many are veterans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now it looks like we can add a couple more to the list, if reports are true.

Leaked set footage recently confirmed that both Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill are both onboard and filming in the UK, which we covered HERE. Now, SuperBroMovies reports that Gwyneth Paltrow is returning as Pepper Potts in Far From Home. It’s not too surprising with her making a short appearance at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it is the first time that we would see her in a film that Robert Downey Jr. isn’t a part of. It could be interesting to see Pepper Potts in a film without Tony Stark, but what does that mean for Tony?

Maybe Tony will make a surprise appearance on set and in the film, but another leaked video from the set shows what looks to be Jon Favreau filming scenes as Happy Hogan. Reddit user R1zzles shared a video from the set that he couldn’t confirm was Favreau but did say that it “definitely looked a lot like him.” The video doesn’t really give anything away, but because it’s directly from the set we do want to warn that there are MINOR SPOILERS. Check it out below…

If it is, in fact, Happy Hogan, it will only add fuel to speculation about Tony’s fate in Avengers 4. To be fair, RDJ isn’t going to be in every MCU film, but he is pretty important to Spider-Man from both a mentor standpoint and as someone who supplies his tech. Spider-Man: Far From Home opens in theaters on July 5th, 2019.
