Yeah, I can understand if you choose not to buy into it. But the majority of Zavvi's customers don't even have the choice to purchase RC (even though Zavvi keep sending me emails about it-idiots!!!)

Its two fingers up to the rest of the world. It should be all or nothing.
i mean its only 12€ for a whole year or something and it gives you a huge advantage in these situations.. an advantage which would be worth lot more than 12€ to many people.. but they simply cant buy it and miss out, which is unfair...

Not to mention what you'd save on shipping. Even just for these Star Wars alone......

But that’s the problem. They won’t offer RC to the rest of the world especially because of the free shipping perk. It would cost them too much for certain items to certain countries.

I think people just need to suck it up. It’s a U.K. company after all and I can’t buy from places like US Best Buy etc. Instead would cost me 3 times the amount through a GB because of the costly shipping prices.

It’s sh!t but the way it is.

Nah they already give free shipping on steels outside the UK as it is. They can easily just say the free shipping only apples to UK members and done. I am sure they would get TONS of people outside the UK happy to spend the $10 or whatever it is. I understand for the original listing when it live and have no problem with that but not for restocks.

I can't buy the RC membership either. I'm in Canada. Zavvi doesn't owe me or anybody else anything I don't owe Zavvi anything.

If they want to have a private club by charging membership for it and make it for UK residents only they are allowed to do that. They already ship to some places outside the UK for free which is something no other company selling SteelBooks does.

Best Buy US doesn't ship outside the U.S and has exclusives. Is that unfair?
Best Buy Canada doesn't ship outside Canada. Is that unfair?

Zoom, Warner Brothes UK, HMV are they unfair?

FAC with their reserves for low numbers...

Amazon Prime members are offered discounts, free shipping and can sometimes order items that aren't offered to other shoppers. Is that unfair?

When it comes to shopping...is life really unfair?

People's opinions of Zavvi RC being unfair are just that, opinions. I'm not going to say you're wrong.
I just said that I disagree.
I understand for the original listing when it live and have no problem with that but not for restocks.

What's the difference?

I can't buy from BB either. So as I said, it should be all or nothing.

That's like BB shipping worlwide but offering exclusive access to only Americans.

ALL OR NOTHING!

The free shipping isn’t automatic though (not for every country). I’m pretty sure that’s a glitch code that was for Pop vinyls because of some Insta guy.
The main perk with RC is free shipping. They would loose out on tons with steels/ vinyls/ statues etc being shipped worldwide.
Then you’re just paying £10 a year for early pre orders which is a pointless perk you’re buying into

But obviously everyone shuts up when there’s a glitch where everyone outside the U.K. can order on VIP pre order dates.

I do however agree that’s it’s a bit odd they are doing it on the restock. But if that’s what they want to do then that’s what they want to do. The fact they are doing that for U.K. customers impresses me tbh

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. So what about all the foreign premium companies that sell their stock to their local market first? Like zeta and kimchi etc. It’s no different.

If Best Buy want to ship world wide but offer to the US first dibs for the first 3 hours then they can. It’s their business decision, strategy and perk to their local market. Millions of companies do this anyway. In so many forms. VIP programs as such.

Nova even have a perk for individual customers depending on how many years you’ve used them/ orders placed. The % off each order at checkout. It’s really not that deep

These two points you made are irrelevant to what we're talking about.

I was saying we don't have a choice in availing of the RC. So the select few have an unfair advantage. That's all.

I'm not sure what Novas perk has to do with that. And I've never once seen any Asian steelbook completely sell out domestically before it goes live to the rest of the world. There was always an allocation. Even it was very small. Not to mention you can use GB's for those anyway, so at least you had some chance......

There's an idea, why don't we get an RC member to host a GB??!!!

I'm just curious. Are you talking specifically about these Star Wars steelbook restocks being unfair?
Or are you talking about all RC membership items like The Beetlejuice and Goonies slips and whatever else Zavvi will release only for RC members going forward?

As far as group buys go that would be hard to do if the Star Wars steelbooks truly were limited to only 2 per person and that other orders would be cancelled.

I was joking about the GB.
