While the chosen art is nice I can't help but wonder the new heights a beauty such as this could have achieved, given the right finish.

I'll preorder this one as the poster art is very nice. As with ANH, though, I have mixed feelings about the photos on the back (ESB doesn't even count in this discussion but I feel that same way about that one). If done right they can be solid; if it is matte or even with spot gloss it could be really meh.

I wouldn't have minded artwork one the back that flowed the front and back together more nicely. I'm not complaining. This and ANH are good steelbooks. The poster art on the front is great. But I also think it could've looked pretty cool with this sort of poster art on the back.

Never noticed before how shoddily the jabba's palace section is edited into the original poster. Real weird considering how well composed the top is with the throne room inside vader's outline. Makes me wonder if it wasnt a last minute addition.

There was a lot more variation back then. I can't find any images online of Kazuhiko's original painting, but if you compare the same poster internationally, it's surprising.

Like many I've decided to keep my ANH steel and I'll order this too, but imma give Empire a miss. Hopefully they release a suitable Empire steel in the future, or BluFans make a comeback, after all I doubt my RO/TFA/TLJ BluFans steels will be getting replaced with this run
