I wasn't gonna dip in, but that boxset looks damn nice, snagged the 1 click. Might have to ditch the much loved Nova WWA slip

All GBs use the new system, but when a retailer like KimchiDVD who does not ship direct, I still have to unpack, repack etc etc. Same goes for other hosts like carllenc who has to repackage for Film Arena releases.

Blufans ship direct, and have done for some time even under the old system so that doesn't change anything so no, it does not compensate for the time that was spent creating the new system, far from it.

Well then, a big thanks for your time and effort than. That goes a long ways to promote our great hobby, which will grow huge in the future. That's greatly appreciated that there are people who will put there time and effort into this hobby of ours.

Well maybe that's why you shouldn't fix something that wasn't broken to begin with.
The system wasn't broken to begin with, but the ongoing late payments and even outright non-payments broke it.

In a number of GBs, the host actually has to commit to purchase a fixed number of items with the retailer based on the number of requests in the GB threads. You can imagine what happens when members don't pay on time or don't pay at all? Money out of the GB host's pocket, potentially (and sometimes actually) large amounts.

Undoubtedly chasing after late payments has been a major hassle for every GB host to some extent.

Never hosted a GB myself, but I've been a participant in many GBs and observed the numerous late payments and non-payments in several threads.

The old system probably was perfect for you, and it certainly was perfect for me, but I doubt that any of our GB hosts would say the same ;)

But hey, I find the new GB system to be just as perfect as (if not better than) the old system.

Now every requesting member simply has to commit to the purchase for real, instead of "I'd really like your help with this release, maybe I'll even pay for it when you have placed an order for it for me"

See? That's what I'm talking about. My man SunnyX here is taking good ole Stevo's advise, which is never a bad thing. So if you're still sitting there on the fence, staring at the clouds, and whistling Dixey, you had better jump in and get yours when this eventually sells out. Sooner rather thaN later. Or you'll be one of those guys I have to read about, complaining about "eBay prices". A thought I truly loath, so let's not cause Stevo anymore undue stress. Here's your chance to be one the other end of the "ebay prices" question.

Welcome back to the forums stevo! maybe you and @lgans316 should hook up, he loves to talk about values and keeps uptpdate on the current market of what's dropping and whats increasing.

I just thought the boxset looked really cool. Much better than the flat type boxes such as the marvels as you cant line them up on the shelf. If it sells out and goes for silly prices thats a bonus. Means I can keep rejoining the GB's again @cooey :D:D

Good to be back. I got a more optimistic view of our hobby than my man Lgans does. I can only see this area of collectibles getting more popular, not less. It's an item that you can easily store, doesn't take up much space, so you can purchase hundreds or thousands. And it looks great displayed. Add to that fact that steelbooks crossover, and appeal to so many other type of collectors. If your a comicbook collector, a fan of companies like Disney or a franchise like Star Wars, or a fan of a particular movie star, or a videogame collector, steelbooks will be very attractive to you. But who are fans of those categories right?

Rumours are the one click box is going to be faux leather!

That would be absolutely fantastic! I was wondering why the 1 click cost more than the 3 editions added together. When you buy bulk, the price usually goes down, not up. This leads me to believe that the faux leather rumours have a excellent chance of being true. Let's hope.

Yeah with this one click you get the three editions and then an extra slipcase of sorts (by the looks of it) to hold the lose posters that come with the single editions. That's where the extra cost will come in

A faux leather enclosure would make me seriously regret not getting the 1 click so I hope the rumours are false :D

post of the year :hilarious:
hey Flloydo is that an lgans ran site per chance :D

basil

Haha, I just had to, feel a litte bad but how the hell are we supposed to know what the most wanted blufans steel is. Although this would be high on the list aswell as the other 6 (or original 3 lol)

Plus it was like a a scalper asking if you get what I mean - not saying he's a scalper

does come across as such, same question asked at the other site by them and as you say may not be a scalper
my only thought is why would you want to know what is the rarest/valueable blufans is?
to me personally all about the film and quality of extras etc the whole package overall and being the best version of that, but don't think they quite get the cost, rariety would be down to how popular or limited to print run size.

think question should have been whats the mosted limited print run of any blufans and wea.
if they wanted rare, just hope they have got deep pockets to carry on.
