Declaring $30 for 3 steelbooks is not out of the question. Custom won't know any better. You think they're experts at premium steelbook pricing? As matter of fact $30 for 3 steelbooks is way more believable than $200.
I don't disagree but it's a privilege a company might offer, not a necessity than anybody is entitled to.

I think what Stevo is trying to say is international retailers can potentially lose business if they don't mark the customs correctly in our liking. Of course it's discretion to the retailer, but if they choose not to mark it correctly, as a buyer you can choose not to buy from them again as you know you have to pay extra.

We need each other :)

You get the jist. Helping each other out isn't such a bad idea. I do that for every buyer on my eBay auctions. There's no need to inflict more cost on people who support your product. They greatly appreciate it, and I'm happy to do it.

That is a kind courtesy. I agree with what you're saying but doing otherwise is not 'inexcusable'

I'm looking forward to this 1 click non shoe box for once. Be interested to see the quality of the box set. If it's thumbs up I can be tempted in Rogue one as well, and the last Jedi...:ohno:

Same. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the one click box is going to be like. I was told it was going to be faux leather but nothing more has been said about that.

Just a bit of miscommunication my friend. If you don't know stevo you may have to get used to his blunt expression lol. I knew what he meant only from the way in which he posts.

Blunt?? That's an understatement if I've ever read one :D

Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but part of the reason companies don't like mis-declaring the value of goods for the sake of customs is that the package will only be insured for the declared value. Obviously this point is moot if they don't have shipping insurance.

Can't wait to get hold of this steelbook, and the rumoured other BluFans Star Wars releases... they will be mine...

Exactly!

Same when you sell something on eBay. You're only covered for what you mark it at. Which can be risky.

You sell a one click on eBay and mark it at $20 and it goes missing/damaged for whatever reason, you're down $130 in compensation then.......

I just declare it at full value but mark it as GIFT. That won't work with retailers though.

But unless you don't provide evidence that you under-declared the value in the customs form, how will the postal authority know what has been declared?

I remember getting the full amount back when a buyer outside EU made INR claim.

My Post Office ask me when posting. I assume they have a record of it then?

Depending what option I choose to send it with, there can be a cap on the total sometimes. It depends on how valuable the item is I'm sending......

Doubt if post office would record the amount declared in the customs form. The insurance is based on the service type and not based on what is declared.

With RM, it is 50 for signed-for / tracked / signed. You can add additional cover and that is printed on the proof of posting receipt. So even if you under-declare in the customs form, the amount is based on the proof of posting receipt and the sale page.

Customs form is not binding. It might come into play, if you have trouble with the customs and not between seller and buyer.

Customs can often know better and are more strict in some countries than others.

Customs can and do find out about Blufans prices been marked low and they often select premium retailers a different times during the year to keep tabs on the marked value on parcels arriving into country
They have targets to reach each month on parcels to be caught for VAT collection

It's just down to luck on the day with customs if they select your parcel to inspect you can go months even years and not be hit for VAT by customs and then all of a sudden have a run of parcels you get hit for VAT by Customs

A invoice is meant to be inside the parcel showing breakdown of price but most retailers who do mark price down on customs label won't provide the invoice inside the parcel as it makes a legal case against them easier to be processed

One Click's are more likely to get caught by customs in some EU countries simply due to
1)Parcel Size
2)Parcel weight

When they inspect as in open the parcel they first thing they look for is a printed invoice and also what the contents are
Customs are getting lot more wise to parcels from China and Korea having low marked prices in some EU countries and in some cases will simply ignore the marked price on customs label as in they don't believe the price been marked by the retailer

Some EU countries customs are very strict as in Germany

UK is less strict and just luck you not been caught out for VAT

Personal Parcels sent in the post is less likely as in very rare to be caught by Customs compared to Retailer Parcels

A retailer can refuse to mark the value low as it's actually illegal to mark value low and they risk been taken to court if caught.

Come on, I'm not that bad. I may be blunt, but I always try to tell the truth, and state the facts as they are. Just sometimes, some people have a problem with the truth, and I might rub those people the wrong way. For instances, when I said that this release makes all the others before it obsolete. Probably pissed off a lot of people. But in all fairness, a bit of an overstatement, since whatever Star Wars sells. But seriously, what do all those other releases have on this?

I don't know, I have a very strong attachment to the Novas. That artwork is just as good or better than the Blufans, in my opinion.
