I thought the bases would connect somehow, but it looks like it really is three separate statues. Do they look small compared to Boba in the background?

The Vader scene, the entire Scarif battle and the last scene with Jyn and Cassian on the beach. It was fantastic! I sure hope we get to find out more about Rey, I've been waiting two years to know more!

I know, we were complaining about no Star Wars stuff and now there's a bunch of it and I'm the only one buying it all, ha ha. The Prime 1 Batman stuff is really awesome, I just wish they'd give us some of the non-Batman characters they keep promising.

I googled the grey Jedi, it's an odd concept. Doesn't Mace use a fighting technique that is borderline dark side? The whole mood or person handling the lightsaber makes no sense! Who the heck came up with that idea? Josh already pointed out all of the inconsistencies so I'm not going there.

I'm looking forward to your unboxing videos! Are you guys as excited as I am to see the full XM Vader reveal? I feel like it's been Christmas Eve for two years and Friday (or maybe even tomorrow) is FINALLY Christmas morning, ha ha.

Are you getting back into collecting LSB for Jedi/Sith?

Yeah the crystal thing makes zero sense. I wonder what color stands for aroused, ha. And wouldn't have Anakin's lightsaber changed to red when he was slaughtering all of those sand people?

I liked Rogue One too much, had to get Jyn. When I first saw the movie in the theater I thought K-2SO was the best character, but now I like most of the human characters more than him.

So I'm getting stuff together. Here are some crappy cell phone pictures. I wonder what kind of high resolution camera I would need to take better pictures. I'm not seeing any of that glare in person. In fact, I think all my statues look much better against a black background compared to white. Daredevil especially looks good. Power Girl was the only DC statue I had that would fit into a Besta so she gets to be on display for now. I need to fix my 2x2 Besta, all the doors are making it lean forward slightly.

Punisher was crazy to put together. Thank goodness there was an instruction booklet that labeled where everything was in the box. I actually had to use a screw driver on part of it, can't say I've ever had to do that for a statue before!

Its so awesome to finally see them! I can't wait till we get to see better pictures of their faces. I really, really love the pose on Vader. My initial thought is Vader's base seems unnecessarily large, but it does fit into the different levels type of display thing they've got going on. If I would display them seperately Vader's base size might bother me.

I think Boba looks bigger because his base is huge and has a lot going on in it.

Vader's base is big, but I see what they're doing there. I just wish all the bases connected together, I think it would look better as a set if they were connected. I'm guessing we won't get any good pictures of the Anakins' faces until tomorrow.

I need to get a better camera too. I think I should take a break from statue buying and start socking some money away for a nice camera and a 4K TV.

Are we sure there isn't some type of hooking mechanism on the bottom of these that hooks them together? I guess its kinda good you can display them seperately so you could line them up instead, that way they'd all fit on a long shelf. I'm trying to stay out of the XM SW threads because its full of people posting how much they hate the Anakin statues and the Prequels .

Yeah I'm waiting for the OLEDs to come down. I bought a 52" flat screen when they first came out while everyone who waited got them cheaper and theirs are smart TVs (which mine isn't). I'm trying to wait this time.

So I was looking at someone who just did the custom cut acrylic doors. Each door required 3 hinges which cost $25 a piece so for two PAX it would cost $150 just for the hinges. Add on a door handle and magnets to keep them shut. The sliding IKEA door frames are $180 so it's not really much savings. It's going to be expensive either way. The sliding doors would be easier if I ever move though as I could just pop them both off.

I'm very underwhelmed by this piece now. Both Anakins aren't great. The younger Anakin looks really bad (he looks worse than the early Sideshow statues). I don't really like the sculpted hood on the older Anakin either. I definitely can't see myself dropping $2K on this. I may have to track down the old Sideshow Anakin PF and settle for their Vader PF. I don't get why Hot Toys can't do all the head sculpts/paint for these companies.

Just read that the ROTS Anakin head will be "reworked". Not quite sure if that means an entire resculpt from scratch, but hopefully they fix it.

The sculpt on the Jake Lloyd Anakin also looks very soft from the pics, but no word if they are modifying that one yet. That one could just be bad lighting. Until they show off their "fixed" head I'm not going to get excited for their Maul or their Luke yet, those could be just as bad. If all the heads turn out bad I think Boba and Grievous will be the only 2 standout pieces from this line. I'm with you on the sculpted outfits too, I still prefer mixed media, but I knew these would be fully sculpted.

That's so expensive! I'm really glad I didn't go the PAX route, I could almost get 2 bestas with doors for just the price of PAX doors.

Well the good news is they realize there is an issue and they are at least going to do something about it. I'm not sure how far they are willing to go but I'm sure they'll at least fix the giant bump Anakin must have on his head for his hood to do that. I've always been leery of XM with their face sculpts. It seems even some of the comic ones have been hit or miss, and with the SW line I think they are trying to do their own take on the characters and not necessarily deliver what was on screen. I think that's a cool concept idea, as I think it worked amazingly well with the Mythos line, but XM's gotta do a better job at nailing the actor likenesses while doing it. I'm sure it will be anywhere from 6-12 months before we see what improvements they've made on this set. How long has their Boba been up for order for? 2 years? And he still isn't shipping yet. It will probably be another 2 years before the Vader dio ships out too.

At this point its almost worth just going with 1:3 scale as their bases are smaller than 1:4 bases these days, and soon 1:4 will be the same overall size as the 1:3 because of the bases lol. Did you see Prime 1's teaser pic for Huntress? I think she's going to be the first from Jim Lee's Hush line.

Maybe they will get to Supes and Bats first. I just remember 2 very early work in progress pics for them and then nothing since. They just released the second Huntress work in progress pic and it looks very detailed, so I'm assuming she's pretty far along. I'm actually kind of hoping they get Huntress out quickly, Prime 1 does a lot of statues of doodz and robots, not a big selection of ladies. They are pretty slow with their stuff but the delivered product seems to be worth the wait.

SS still has us by the balls with everything . Its still my favorite company to bash yet continue to order from lol.

I heard people talking about the crystals from the new canon a couple of months ago. They were saying now if a Dark Side user uses the crystal it "bleeds" turning it red. Then I heard the rest of the colors were based on mood or whatever. This is dumb, how does this explain when Anakin grabs Dooku's saber in ROTS its still red while his stays blue, or once Anakin is being consumed by the Dark Side in ROTS his saber never turns red, and then when Vader grabs Luke's saber in ROTJ it stays green. This is just more crap they've come up with to either sell more books or just piss off SW fans by changing something that didn't need changing. I swear I am this close I----I to swearing off all of this new SW "canon". Rebels is already dead to me, glad that this next season will be its last. I'm not accepting this "mood" crap as canon either LOL.

People would be throwing their popcorn at the screen and then storming out demanding a refund lol. I'd say they'd never do that, but since they just left Luke chillin' up there on a cliff last time without a single line of dialogue they just might pull something like this . He looked to be in pretty good shape at Celebration so I'm hoping he's good to go for some lightsaber duels.

I'm really tempted to get the Jyn PF, but I really don't want to branch off into spinoff characters.

Rogue One for me is the best made Star Wars movie. ROTS is still my favorite, but R1 is just about a perfect movie, IMO.

I'm only doing Force users for my collection. For now. If I fully jump ship to XM, all my SS stuff will eventually go bye bye.

Yeah, they haven't explained any if that yet. When Luke tapped into the Dark Side to defeat Vader in ROTJ, his saber stayed green. Explain that Pablo!

Rogue One for me is the best made Star Wars movie. ROTS is still my favorite, but R1 is just about a perfect movie, IMO.

I'm only doing Force users for my collection. For now. If I fully jump ship to XM, all my SS stuff will eventually go bye bye.

I'd love to see Pablo trying to explain it during a Con, then the room fills with boooo's LOL. I haven't gotten into the new canon SW books, but from what I've heard from people that loved the old canon, they really hate the new stuff. If they continue to rewrite over the old stuff with crap like the "mood" crystals hopefully people will stop buying the books and send them a message, and they will just admit they f*cked up by destroying the old canon, and will fully reinstate the old canon including SotE and TFU .

I don't think Rogue One would rank as my favorite SW movie, especially without a lightsaber duel, but I do think its possibly the most complete and one of the best SW movies to date. I don't think I've felt a SW movie this complete since ANH.

How do you feel about the XM trio after you've gotten to see more pics? They are going to make some type of improvement to the ROTS Anakin, but no word on what that will be yet.

Lol! You know, I've read many of these complaints before about likeness being off and lack of faith that any improvement would be made. These complaints were on the Luke PF, the Han PF, the Dooku PF, not only that but all the complaints on the OG Vader helmet that got retooled, and it still wasn't good enough for purists. Boba Fett, General Grievous, Stormtrooper to name a few are others that didn't come out perfect, but people still bought them. To me, it looks like XM nailed Vader. I don't like the hood on Anakin, so I'm hoping for a switch out portrait. I think little Ani is close, but no worse than the original Han, Luke, or Dooku and others. The thing from what I've seen from XM is, you get what you pay for. You get a high-end collectible with attention to detail and no detail missed. You get it sent to you as if it were the Holy Grail. I'm not looking forward to paying almost twice what I am now for 1/4 scale statues, but I am looking forward to the pieces. I think Anakin and Ani will turn out fine. Will it be 100%? Probably not, but it will be a great piece nonetheless.

I agree. R1 isn't my favorite, 2nd favorite actually, but felt it is the best made SW movie to date. Great movie, and the ending is just perfect!

I just don't understand why they did that. Unless they plan to go back to the saga AND alter them.
