Remember when XM came out a few years ago and people were scoffing at the near $1K price tag to get one? Somehow Sideshow has already surpassed their after market pricing with an inferior product. I am fully on board with XM now!

Have you seen JW Shipp as Jay Garrick in the new series?

I saw that thing about the armpits too. I swear I see at least one article a day where SJWs are outraged about some petty thing.

Did you know Condiment King is a Batman villain? I learned that from the Lego movie, ha ha.

I'm still not on board with the the $1k quarter scale from any company yet lol . I could probably talk myself into $1k for a 1:3, but I'm still not quite their for quarter scale. When I first got into SS only a few years ago PFs were $400 max. And now they are already almost double that for some. I can't think of too many things out there that have nearly a 100% price incresse in just a few years. And the people just keep buying lol. If people actually snatch up Thanos at $1200 there will be no stopping the SS price hikes.

I've seen pictures of him as Jay Garrick but I didn't stick with the show nearly long enough to see it on the show.

The WW armpit hair thing put me over the edge lmao!

Condiment King is in it?!? They created him for B: TAS way back in the 90's. I can't wait to see him again!

If it sells out day one SS will have the power to literally charge whatever they want on anything from this point forward and all the complaining we've done about the $50 - $100 price hikes in the past will mean nothing as they start increasing everything $200-$300 a piece. Its pretty clear they've seen what some people are willing to pay for XM stuff in the US, so they'll just charge the same. I'm assuming more than half of collectors out there can't afford that so they'll stop buying and SS will just drop the ES on their stuff. .

Kylo is the one that got ridiculously delayed for me. My final flex was supposed to be March 5th. On March 1st they emailed me to tell me my last flex was pushed to March 25th, then on March 3rd they sent me an email saying my last flex was pushed to April 25th. I'm super pissed because it looks like people are getting charged right now. If next month comes around and they give me another delay I'm going to be livid and I'll definitely be making a call to them filled with lots of expletives.

Yeah Hot Toys really needs an ES on their stuff. Seriously, how many FO troopers did they make? They are literally giving them away now. They do show a lot of stuff that never materializes...like the Falcon cockpit for instance.

I believe I had the DC Direct Batman Hush. He had a stand where you could pose him so he was flying.



Five times already?? That's impressive! My nephews and I already have movie night planned for next Friday so they can see it.

So did you guys see the price of the XM Thanos? Sideshow has lost their damn minds. People on the forums are claiming it will sell out instantly and be worth as much as the Dr. Doom throne piece in the after market, I think they're over hyping it a little. It's nice they finally set a low ES before the pre-order, but come on! They are charging eBay prices on their own stuff now, ha. I seriously got the XM Punisher which included a seller's fee and $400 shipping for less than Sideshow is charging.

I pop in from time to time on those forums and while I see a lot of familiar faces from way back in 2005, I see a tone of newbs who have obviously only been collecting for a year or 2. If that's Sideshows demographic now, they can have it. The days of waiting by the computer for preorder day so you can place an order before it sells out are long over!

Wow! That's a lot so far lol. At least its a really good movie though.

That would have been cool. I'm not planning to watch Rebels ever again regardless at this point. I just couldn't get into the show, and now with Maul gone I just have no reason to go back to it. Maybe if JEJ comes back as Vader that might push me into watching that particular episode, but that's it.

I wonder how much the XM Maul will go for over here. I still can't wait to see these things. Some of them sound like they will be closer to a full blown 1/4 Diorama, not just a 1/4 statue.



I saw they were giving a stormtrooper away last week if you bought a 2 pack. I think they should have given 2 away if you bought 1 instead LMAO. I forgot all about the Falcon cockpit. When was that 2 years ago? They still have their '66 Batmobile and BvS Batmobile that aren't for sale yet either.

I figured he probably was going to be at least $1K, so $1200 is kind of predictable. They are seriously hyping this thing though. I saw on Statueforum they sent out a message to people saying that they are going to stop accepting American Express cards and they included this little blurb towards the bottom of the message:

It seriously made me LOL. They are seriously thinking the demand for this is going to be massive. That's so much money for the average collector to plop down on one piece, so I don't know how well it will sell. I don't know why their original Doom PF goes for $4K, or why anyone would be that stupid to pay that much for it. Its definitely not because its hard to get because there is always between 1 and 3 of them for sale at any given time on eBay so its quite easy to find. I think it probably comes down to bragging rights that they spent $4K on a piece, and not they like it enough to spend $4K on it. I highly doubt Thanos will be the same way.

Did you get your Punisher already? I saw an unboxing video of it and it looks so badass!

Did either of you guys watch the Justice League or Spider-Man trailers that just came out? The JL trailer definitely had a lighter tone than I've seen in either MoS or BvS. I'm guessing they changed the tone due to all of the whining from the fans on the forums, and in return that caused more whining from the fans in the forums. I absolutely loved the JL trailer, but I just don't have any excitement for the Spider-Man movie at all.

I don't even know what its like to see a piece sell out when it goes up for p.o. The closest thing I've ever seen is some of their art prints sell out within a couple of hours sometimes. Now SS usually doesn't even set an ES for their statues for at least a month after they've been up for order. Preordering itself isn't fun anymore.

It cracked me up too. I've never seen anything Jason Mamoa has been in but I think he is going to steel this movie.

I'm sure once you see the Vader dio it will reinvigorate your passion for collecting like never before.

Ha! He's definitely one of the most bizarre Batman villains.

I'm sure I could move it up but I've got other Flex's in between anyways so I'm just going to leave it. If it doesn't go through on the 25th then I'll call and just have them manually charge me.

The shipping cost on top of the super high inflated price on the XM stuff is just another reason why I'm avoiding those.

The movie I've seen the most amount of times in a short span is probably the first X-Men. I bought a Japanese VCD import of the movie right when it came out in theatres and I got it a couple weeks later, and I watched it every single day for about a month straight. I still have it and I'm not letting go of it ever LOL

Well at least its a really good looking piece you've got yourself coming there, so congrats! I'd say the people that are trying to sell this at $4500 have no chance, but since they've already managed to find 750 people to spend $1200 maybe the hype will consume another person so extremely they will buy it.

X2 is phenomenal, its still in my top 3 favorite Marvel movies of all time. I still count the first X-Men as THE first Marvel movie. Yes Blade did come out 2 years earlier, but it came out during the era of the action hero and Wesley Snipes was at the top of his career and I look at it as they found the absolute perfect character for him to play but it just happened to be a comic book character. I don't think they actually planned on it jump starting this massive demand for superhero movies.

I was thinking either Emma Stone or maybe even get Felicity Jones (she'd look so hot with red hair) to play Batgirl. I hope they don't go super young.

I know, I've lost my mind. What happened was I figured the XM would cost the same amount and that one is in the Captain Morgan pose I hate. I really should just focus my collection on a few characters though, I'm all over the place.

I thought Emma Stone right away too because of the red hair, but I don't know if I've ever seen her do a physical action movie. I almost feel like she'd be awkward, ha.

That's $115 more than the last one! I really hate this company!!! LOL. I don't even want to collect anymore. Prices are so out of hand, and people keep buying so that just keeps driving prices up. I don't even feel I'm getting my money's worth with what they are charging now. Just seeing SS put a piece up that costs $1200 and seeing it sell out instantaneously really put me in a funk. I think I need to bail out of this super expensive hobby. Those DC Direct Batman Hush figures are calling my name instead!

I just hope SS delivers a piece that's worth $1200 for you. Its so hard to focus a collection when so many licenses and companies have so many awesome pieces. I still don't know how Lou has been able to it all of these years.

I don't know if she could do an action movie either but I really like her. Another one I like is Anna Kendrick. I also see a lot people talking about Chloe Grace Moretz if they go younger. I did hear it sounds like they are going to somewhat adapt the New 52 Batgirl story where she was already shot by the Joker and she used some kind of experimental surgery to make her walk again. I never read anything New 52 related so I don't know if its good or not.

Age of Ultron didn't hold up for me nearly as well as the first Avengers after multiple viewings. And I've never seen the Buffy series but I did see the movie way back in the day and I thought it was pretty good, so I think he can write a good female character.

I'm still suffering from MCU burnout. Guardians is the only thing I am even remotely excited about.

Looking at Chewie more closely I can see he has a different paintjob on his fur. $500 is still ridiculous.

I've joked with Lou before that we are like battered women running back to our abusive husband Sideshow for more . I've just got to find a way to stop going back to SS and fully commit to P1.

I actually watched the first few eps of Dollhouse when it premiered. I remember I liked it. That's interesting that he co-wrote Toy Story and that was one of the last few animated movies I've seen lol.

I'm betting the bases hook up. They'll probably hook up to 3PO and R2 also because they have the same MF bottom part of the base as Chewie. They'll probably make a whole line of MF themed bases that you would need a whole table to display all of these things on. Kinda like how they are doing all exploding bases for their Spider-Man line.

I don't even know what its like to see a piece sell out when it goes up for p.o. The closest thing I've ever seen is some of their art prints sell out within a couple of hours sometimes. Now SS usually doesn't even set an ES for their statues for at least a month after they've been up for order. Preordering itself isn't fun anymore.

Ha, so true. Apparently I like the Sideshow abuse. They lure you in with some amazing stuff, but then screw you over with bad QC and re-issues. It's almost like gambling doing business with them. It's a real addiction!

The smoke on all of the Spidey bases is a little odd. I almost decided I liked the SS Venom the best, but the smoky base is a little distracting. I thought it worked fine with Spidey and Goblin, but not sure they all need it. Guess they would all have to be on one shelf together. I wonder if SS is going to attempt Doc Ock since XM's has dropped off the radar.
