That sounds so terrible! I hate being caught in the rain even having to run through a parking lot, I can't even imagine what it must be like to be soaked riding a bike for hours.

I really hope it does mean something for Hayden coming back, but it sounds like they are trying to go all out for the 40th anniversary. I'll be really let down if that ends up being it.

It would have been so dumb for Disney not to have that Vader scene in Rogue One. I mean that was something that literally every single SW fan has been craving for decades. Now they totally need to do a Vader movie!!!

I will be so pissed if we don't get an Ep VIII trailer during Celebration.



That display has to be one of the coolest I've ever seen.

What are you planning on doing to your display? Are you still keeping the PAX and Bestas? After I've had my bestas for awhile I'm starting to realize they aren't that great afterall. It seems over time they are either warping or deforming somehow as they just don't line up correctly next to each other anymore. Even when I look at the shelf on one of mine its clear its moved out a few millimeters from the side as I can see the shelf clip doesn't go all the way into the shelf as it does on one of my other bestas. I can literally grab the sides of the besta and push them together to make it look how its supposed to but when I let go it goes back to looking wonky again. And no matter how many times I adjust the doors on these things they always end up looking like crap and don't line up . Okay, I'm done with my Ikea rant LOL.

Ep. VIII and Justice League are the top 2 movies I'm excited for. Then it would probably be Guardians.

That's not bad, now they are right around SS prices. I guess the hype really did die down then. I'm sure it will crank right back up when they get to SW and DC though.

I did hear about the 1/3 Doomsday. That thing will be MASSIVE! Is this going to be their first piece from the regular (non-New 52) DC comic line?

I am still keeping the PAX and Bestas, but I sold my white PAX and got black ones that match. I also got a new Besta TV stand and switched the dioder lights out with stribergs which are much brighter. Plus they don't shine light on the glass so you can't see every smudge. My Bestas are still fine, not sure what's wrong with yours, but that sucks! Now I desperately need doors for my PAX. I guess I should contact a custom cabinet guy and see what their price would be before investing in the sliding frames IKEA sells.

Will XM ever do either of those licenses? I mean come on already! Prime 1 has teased a couple other non-New 52 DC statues, but I feel like that's all we're getting is teases. They need to drop the new 52 and just focus on the classic looks.

Yeah my nephew has really gotten into Star Wars, which is good because he had no interest a couple years ago. He's at an age now where I can bring him to all the superhero and Star Wars movies.

I bet that display wasn't cheap, but it's worth investing in if you're spending thousands of dollars on collectibles already. I'm changing mine up right now so Punisher is still in the box.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new trailer, maybe it would start building the EP VIII hype for me. I think Rogue One just fed my Star Wars appetite again, ha. I'm counting down to Guardians right now.

I think you can get an XM piece if you wanted. The hype has died down big time. I see some people trying to unload statues for $600 shipped. There's just too much being produced right now. Unless it's an amazing piece like XM Ghost Rider or the new Thanos apparently, then there's not much after market value for newer statues.

Speaking of newer statues, did you see Prime 1's 1/3 Doomsday tease?



That sounds awful. Did you jump in a warm shower as soon as you got home? It's so miserable being wet/cold like that. I remember being at the firing range at basic training when it was winter and raining. They wouldn't let us wear our gloves while shooting and I couldn't feel my hands at all by the end. When I finally got my gloves on, the tingling sensation of them warming up was so painful.

I'm going to watch Rogue One with my nephews tonight. They didn't get to see it in the theaters and the oldest one is pretty excited. His mom told me he's constantly asking her SW questions and she keeps telling him to ask me, ha.

I think the weight might just be too much for the hinges to handle and its taking it out on the frame. Its not that bad but its enough to piss me off almost as much as when someone says the word Tablet. LMAO!

Switching it all up to black sounds really nice. That way all the displays are one color.

I would have figured that sine the comics aren't even the New 52 anymore all companies would just stop with that stuff.

I went ahead and paid off my Kylo PF today, hopefully both him and the Pfeiffer Catwoman PF will ship out today.

I don't know if I'm going to see any other movies other than SW and JL in the theater. I'm excited for them but I think I enjoy watching movies on my own system as much as going to a theater anyways.

I'm pretty sure its the hinges. My black/brown besta that I had with the heavier glassvik's never warped with their old hinge system. Their new soft closing hinges are nice because they don't let the door slam shut, but I don't think they are as strong as their old ones. Its not that bad, and nobody notices but its one of those things that just gets under my skin lol. I've gotta remember these things are particleboard afterall and not some heavy duty wood display case.

They've gotta show something. If not there would be people marching outside the Magic Kingdom with torches and pitchforks lol.

I'm not 100% sure there will be a Ep. VIII panel. I just assumed there would be since they had one for TFA and Rogue One. They could possibly throw in the Ep. VIII trailer and news in with the 40th anniversary panel.

According to the last pic that was posted on the Freaks board in the Kylo thread he just barely fits into a besta. I was actually planning on displaying him outside of the besta underneath my TFA poster, but now that I know he fits I might put him in the besta. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I have Sindviks too. Not only is it slightly warped but 3 of the hinges also have stripped screws already too. I'm probably going to pick up some new hinges one of these weekends and disassemble the whole thing and see if I can get get everything lined up from scratch again. Its not bad enough to where I'd replace them, but these things do cost quite a bit and I feel they are pretty cheaply made.

I've yet to see anyone freely admit they like the New 52. They might say they liked a particular story arc, but that's about it. No body likes the designs either lol.

According to SW's Instagram page there is indeed an Ep. VIII panel on April 14th at 11 a.m. ET.

I saw on the SW show that there would be an episode 8 panel. I think Hayden is only on the 40th anniversary one tho.

So, I checked mine, and they do lean to the side where the door attaches to the cabinet, but no warping. Mine are super old tho. 1st generation Bestas. My wife had a cabinet made by a local guy, and I'll be going with him for that kind of stuff from now on since my collection will be a lot smaller and I won't need the Besta anymore.

The Good Morning America link ended up being another one of those Force For Change things. Everyone was hoping it was going to be some new content but it was a dud.

I watched the 40th panel yesterday and it was pretty awesome. They had George up there the whole time plus there were surprise appearances from Harrison Ford and John Williams. Not to mention video messages from Liam Neeson and Sam Jackson! Those were totally awesome!

Having a cabinet maker is going to give you top notch quality for sure. Everyone makes fun of Ikea as being cheap and I think I should just remember that they aren't the greatest.

I really like the poster too! I actually really liked the teaser but I've seen a lot of people online saying the were underwhelmed. Maybe after all of this time people were expecting a more in-depth trailer than just a teaser. But I really liked what I saw. I'm thinking Kylo will go helmetless from this point forward.

I really love the first Thor movie, its one of my top 5 favorite MCU movies (I know I'm in the minority). I didn't like the second one that much, but this new one looks like its going to be a blast.

Kylo is coming today but I haven't got him yet. I think I'll get him sometime this evening, but its hard to tell as UPS never comes at the same time its always random when they show up.

Edit: I just watched Lou's Ep. VIII teaser reaction video and he totally has on the SW shirt I got him!!!

Just unboxed Kylo.

My initial thought on Kylo is this is my favorite SW PF ever! This thing is MASSIVE! Its not really tall but the base coupled with how wide the piece is overall with the saber just gives it so much presence. There is also a ton of cloth on this thing, and its so much thicker than I thought it would be. The way I have it turned is the only way you can fit it in a besta and close the door. I'll take some more pics later and update my thread. I've gotta spend an hour or so later futzing with the outfit to get it looking good.

Also unboxed MP Catwoman.

In hand she definitely looks like Pfeiffer, maybe even more than the Tweeterhead. I also think she photographs really well.

Like I said in the reaction vid, it felt different than TFA visually. I love that they used voices in the background. And, I love that there are ancient Jedi books. Not Holocrons, but books!

I don't know if Kylo is worth what SS is charging for him, but I don't know if I'd spend $570 on any PF for that matter, I used over $100 in RP to make the price more digestible. I was actually thinking about cancelling him a couple of times because I ordered him over 11 months ago and after all that time I wasn't that excited about it anymore and I was thinking about other stuff, but I'm so glad I decided to keep my P.O. because its one of the most awesome PFs I've ever gotten. The pics really don't pick up how wide and deep this piece is. The base's diameter is so freaking huge! The main lightsaber blade is also really thick, it makes the original SW PF's look like they have toothpicks for blades.

I can't believe how many coments I read from people whining about the trailer. It was only a teaser FFS! I absolutely love the look and tone of this movie so far. I still wonder if Luke is going to turn to the Dark Side, but I doubt it.

I don't know if Kylo is worth what SS is charging for him, but I don't know if I'd spend $570 on any PF for that matter, I used over $100 in RP to make the price more digestible. I don't think he's turning to the dark side. I think the line is taken out of context. Or maybe he's figured in order for there to be peace, there can't be Jedi, Sith, etc.

I don't think he is either, I'm thinking they just took it out of context to try to fool the audience. Although if he does I won't be that shocked as that would fit into that "its like poetry" thing Lucas talked about while making Ep. 1.

I will say Kylo is definitely one of the best made pieces I've seen from them in quite awhile. The paint quality on the figure and cut and sew elements are some of the best I've ever seen. And the pose really works on this one! The one downside I think this piece has is the paint quality on the bottom part of the base that's supposed to take its influence from Kylo's helmet looks a little cheap. They tried to dirty and scratch it up to give it that worn in look, but it just doesn't translate as well as the actual work they did on the helmet itself. I don't think its too much of a gripe for me as I never really liked that part of the base to begin with, I wish they would have just gone with the Takodana part. And that part they really pulled off amazingly! There is a lot of detail like twigs and stuff that I never realized were there on the preview pics but they are there in person and it looks really freaking cool!

Just unboxed Kylo.

My initial thought on Kylo is this is my favorite SW PF ever! This thing is MASSIVE! Its not really tall but the base coupled with how wide the piece is overall with the saber just gives it so much presence. There is also a ton of cloth on this thing, and its so much thicker than I thought it would be. The way I have it turned is the only way you can fit it in a besta and close the door. I'll take some more pics later and update my thread. I've gotta spend an hour or so later futzing with the outfit to get it looking good.

Also unboxed MP Catwoman.

In hand she definitely looks like Pfeiffer, maybe even more than the Tweeterhead. I also think she photographs really well.

Dude! I'm always wearing that shirt and a Yoda one my daughter bought me. Those are my two favorite shirts man, and if I'm not wearing one, I'm wearing the other.

I liked the 2nd Thor more, but both are really good. This new one really has a Guardians vibe to it, and I like it.

I dig it! I didn't expect so much from a teaser. I got choked up, my heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest. Just fantastic. Like I said in the reaction vid, it felt different than TFA visually. I love that they used voices in the background. And, I love that there are ancient Jedi books. Not Holocrons, but books!



Huge congrats man! That catwoman is sexy AF! Good to hear that the fabric on Kylo is good quality. I've hesitated picking up this piece, but really want to. A part of me still feels iffy about the price tho. Looking at your pic, it looks fantastic. Would like to see helmet close ups at some point when u get time. Again, congrats dude!

I think I might get the Bespin Luke to replace my Jedi Luke if this one doesn't have a lurching pose. I never really had a problem with the pose on the Jedi Luke but if I could have picked a different pose for it I would have lol. The headsculpt looks like it will be very good on this one too. I'll be passing on Han for sure, I'm going stick to Jedi and Sith characters from this point forward as far was SW goes. I've also been thinking a lot about picking up the new Maul, but I'm not sure if he'll fit in a besta, the way he's holding his saber makes it look like the piece is going to be very deep, especially judging it by the way it looks in the Sideshow video he was in with Sam Witwer. But if he fits I think I'm going to get him.

Ooooh finally! But is this going to be another one of those where they display it in one of those blocked off areas that doesn't allow photos?

Plus I wouldn't be able to order so many statues without payment plans. No clue what I'll do when XM shows both of their Luke statues or their DC stuff, hopefully it's not until next year when everything else is paid off! I still need to figure out a way to fund doors for my cases as well.

Which scout trooper PF did you like? I can't wait to get my speeder bike displayed again. It's been boxed up for nearly 2 years.

Payment plans really do help, if I could get payment plans on XM's stuff then I'd more than likely get one. But it seems like they are really only focused on their Marvel stuff. I would have thought they'd be rushing to get a SW and a DC piece out to bring more customers into the brand. I'm wondering once they get all of these licenses going if they will stick to their 999 edition size.

I really love the speeder bike but I would have had to have planned ahead with a piece that huge. There is no way I could fit that into my collection. The regular Scout Trooper PF is cool but the pose looks a little silly.

Did SS have any new stuff out at Celebration? I know they showed some in-progress stuff in their video panel, but did they actually have anything new to show? Kind of a wasted opportunity IMO.
