Rotten Tomatoes is a complete joke! I knew there is no way WW could be THAT much better than BvS. Hell, I wouldn't put any superhero movie THAT much better than BvS. I never care what critics say anyways, but Rotten Tomatoes is the worst. I liked Gadot in BvS a lot, so I'm sure I'll really like her in this.

I've been trying to avoid the forums as I'd figure lots of people have seen it by now and are probably posting spoilers everywhere. But I will say from reading posts in the past 90% of the Freaks board hates the DCEU, and have been very vocal about it. They have been bashing WW and JL before seeing either one. So I already thought no matter what they were going to hate it.

I haven't seen it, but I do have it on order! :D I still didn't see the first Lego movie though, but all they had to do was put Batman in the title of one of them and I was all over it LOL.

Yeah, I think if the EX is a head it should be like $100 less. It sure is in the aftermarket FFS! And then some! There is no way Zatanna is worth $500 but that's where we are today. PFs won't be getting any cheaper, and that sucks. By this time next year we will be at $600 and having the same conversation. I seriously have to resist ordering anything else from this company.

Hmmm... I wonder what they meant by that. I've got a feeling they aren't going to be classic DC stuff, but probably more New 52 crap. Why are they making stuff from that when the New 52 is already over??? Maybe it will be Rebirth stuff.

Yeah Rotten Tomatoes is full of critics who don't deserve to have their rating factor into the score. A lot of them will like or dislike movies for insane reasons. They need to get another Skiskel & Ebert duo who actually give legitimate reviews. I remember Zootopia had a 100% rating until some critic gave it a negative score and her review not only barely talked about the movie, it was just some political rant that made no sense.

You haven't seen the first Lego movie and you like Legos??? I hope you can feel my judgment through the screen, ha. Batman is one of the main characters in that movie too...

$600 for a PF? Ugh, just thinking about that is making me ill. They were just $350 not that long ago. The price hikes in this business don't compare to anything I've ever seen. I can't see anyone forking over $600 for a basic PF in the aftermarket. I can't even see people paying $500. I think $450 was their limit for a basic PF and even that's pushing it.

XM can't be stupid enough to do new 52! Man I hope it's classic costumes still. Maybe they are doing them in a different scale? Of course I've never seen XM do anything that wasn't 1/4 scale so who knows. I'm fully prepared to be disappointed.

During Wonder Woman last night, I was thinking how good her sword would look hanging on my wall. :p

I liked Siskel & Ebert. It was a time way before internet trolls, and a time where people could disagree with other people peacefully lol. They were probably the only 2 critics that I could actually listen to and actually cared about their opinion. Of course I didn't always agree with them, but I found their opinion valuable.

LMAO! I can totally feel it!

It makes me sick too. What kind of other company can sustain a 50% price increase in less than 3 years? And yet SS is still trucking along not only raising the price 50%, but still continuing to raise it on each new release. How has the market not burst yet? The statue collectors are nuts! I'd like to say there is no way they'd pay $500 for a standard PF, but I know they must be, regardless of what I see people posting on the forums, as SS keeps making them and keeps cranking up the price. This insanity drove me to justify buying $2K 1:2 statues! This insanity has clearly made me insane!!! This is so stupid, I'm going to go start collecting Hasbro stuff or Funko Pops.

I really hope they do the classic costumes, I would think that since they only have distribution rights to their side of the globe they should be able to get the rights to the classic stuff. Maybe they will be mixed media instead? I would think if its New 52 or Rebirth everyone will be disappointed.

Oh yeah, I read Roger Ebert's reviews constantly. I felt like he did a good job of rating a movie for what it was. Obviously no comic book movie is considered a cinematic masterpiece, but he would rate it against how it stacked up for that genre. And I definitely didn't always agree with him. The problem with Rotten Tomatoes is how did they get themselves on this list of critics who's scores matter? Start a blog and suddenly you're a RT reviewer?

I don't know what XM is planning on doing, but I can't wait until September! Did you see the new Doc Ock design? I kind of preferred the original, but someone did a mock colored version of the new design and it looks pretty sweet still.

I would love to just say screw it and go back to collecting action figures, but you know the quality of those never compares now that you've had a high end statue in your hand! Just like I can't even go back to Hot Toys after having 1:4 scale. You may have you ruined yourself for life with those 1:2 scale, ha ha. I have a friend who only collects Pops and the Koto 1:10 scale statues. He seemed pretty happy about it until he saw my collection then he became jealous. I had sent him pictures before, but he said he didn't realize the size until he saw them in person. I'm sure it would be the same with your new statues.

I used to like watching their show back in the day. You can find a lot of their old reviews on youtube. I think I have one of their movie review books laying around too. I'm not quite sure how you can get to be an RT reviewer, but I don't think its a complicated process. We should all start a blog in defense of the great movies they trash, especially the Prequels :D.

I definitely preferred their Original Doc Ock, I'm not a big fan of their new one. I like how the old one looked more like he was using his robot legs to walk, this one just looks like he's clinging onto a building. Maybe they couldn't get the legs strong enough to hold the body up. Its really detailed though.

The first time I unboxed my first PF, the comic Batman I was totally blown away by the presence of that thing. I wasn't prepared for that, and thats probably how your friend felt after seeing your stuff. I still don't think I've gotten a PF with that much presence, but now after 1:2 everything is irrelevant LOL. I'm totally screwed! I should just stop with the 1:4 altogether because its never going to give me the same level of excitement ever again. I'll just be on here b****ing about the price like I always do and order anyways, but this time when I unbox it I'll probably just be like "I guess this is kind of cool". I don't want to spend $500+ anymore to just get kind of cool. I'm thinking going the Hasbro route could be better because I'll still get something between "kind of cool" to "minimally cool" but it won't cost me $500+. There may be a Lego shopping spree coming in my future! LOL.

Let's do it! We should all start our own so we can get more positive reviews for them, ha.

Yeah I liked the first Doc Ock, it really showed off the robotic arms more. I think the reason it never went up for order was that XM was testing it to see if they could support the weight of the statue and apparently they couldn't. I wasn't too impressed with the new one until I saw what it might look like painted.

I was totally thinking about getting a Lego set to build this weekend since we've been talking about them, but I will be out of town so I saved myself from spending money on something I probably don't need! Have you looked at a Hasbro figure lately? They are pretty poorly sculpted. Maybe you should get into helmets and props?

What is going to happen if you watch Wonder Woman and love it? Are you going to order her Prime 1 statue as well? You know I'm afraid to re-watch Man of Steel because if I like it then I'll probably want your statue.

We should! I think rottentomatoessucks.com is available! LOL.

I'll have to look more at the Doc Ock thread as I didn't see any shopped painted pics. That could change everything.

Nice save! We should just avoid SS's website. Think of the thousands we'd save from stuff we don't need! I still don't know how I managed to find that stupid site one day. Back when I found it I originally wanted to get the Hot Toys Sam Flynn Lightcycle from Tron Legacy and get the HT Keaton Batman. But then I saw pics of actual PFs and realized how much bigger they were than HTs. That was a big mistake there lol. I haven't really looked at any of the Hasbro stuff, I just assumed it was the same crappy sculpts from when I was a kid. I probably never could go back to those, but it would be nice to save thousands lol. Helmets and props are cool, but I feel you are only getting part of a character with those. I still think statues are the best, even if they are scaled.

Oh God, don't say that! :ohno: I really don't know where I'd put her. I would have to get an entirely new display table/stand too. I was actually looking at displays that could fit the entire Trinity when I was mulling these over and I had a real hard time finding anything that would work other than separate pedestals. Every long table I looked at was either unnecessarily deep or not deep enough. And the pedestals I wanted I think were $300 each and shipping was $300 each too, they wouldn't even give a shipping discount. They did look really nice though, but I figured I already spent enough.

I was really on a MoS kick when I went for it, I was actually going to get the Resinworx MoS but it was $1300 with shipping. Even though its a custom I didn't think a 1:4 piece was worth that much and I thought the 1:2 would be a better bang for my buck. The SS PF was just too terrible to even consider LOL!

I hope that's already a site!

Here you go, from Gary Tonge on the statue forum:

I can blame Terminator 2 for discovering that site. When I bought the blu-ray it came with a $50 gift card to Sideshow's site. Can you believe they used to do stuff like that?? I used it to get the Medicom Wicket for free, ha. I eventually ordered the Hot Toys bank robber Joker and then Iron Man and War Machine.

It would be badass having all three of them, but that rooted hair still kills it for me. Did you see the new Hot Toys Wonder Woman has sculpted hair? She looks great!

Oh man, the Sideshow Man of Steel PF really sums up the direction the company has been going.

That looks way better! If it turns out like that its going to be so awesome!

A $50 gift card??? What happened to THAT company? And you could actually get something out of it. Now $50 wouldn't even cover the price increase between statues lol.

That hair is sculpted? It looks so real! I think HT still has the best sculpts overall. Too bad they make the smallest stuff.

The rooted hair was the second biggest problem I had with the Prime 1 WW, the biggest problem I had was the face sculpt. It was too off for the price. But a week ago one of the Prime 1 people teased the updated face sculpt the production version is going to have:

I'm already fully planning to continue checking out 20 year old chicks when I'm in my 80's. :D I don't care how creepy I look! LOL.

I'm waiting for them to release a new Ultimate Collectors Vader TIE Fighter, its one of my favorite ships. They made one a long time ago but I don't want to pay what its going for today. Did you see the Ultimate Cillectors Imperial Shuttle they made a few years ago? I'm still kicking myself for not getting it. They made a $500 Millennium Falcon back in the day, but it sells for 3 to 4 grand brand new! Its actually gone down because it was going for around $5500 a year ago! Apparently Lego sets can be an investmet. One of these days I've got to go and take a look at what old sets I still have. I've got a feeling they are all broken though and I won't be able to tell what any of them are anymore.

I was never into the model kits that much, I didn't have much skill with the paint and glue ones so any that I had were the snap-fit ones lol.

I have no clue what they are going to do with X-Men. The MCU has got way too much going on to absorb X-Men right now, so I guess they will keep doing there own thing for awhile. Next up is another attempt at the Phoenix saga but X-23 definitely won't be fitting into that. I got a feeling we probably won't see her again.

Oh man, that would be great! :D

BvS can make me tear up when Supes dies/the funeral. Its the music man I swear! Zimmer is so great! The only downside with BvS for me was they revealed way too much in the trailers. WW's enterance wasn't as impactful as it should have been for me since the trailer showed right when she was going to show up. I wish they would have kept her and Doomsday completely under wraps. At least they kept the death of Supes under wraps.

I think I'm going to get some more Lego sets lol.

My expectations for Logan were through the roof, and I think that really hurt the experience for me. I wonder what theyll do with X-23 and the rest of the kids.

Well at least you helped me and Adam feel a bit younger :p Sorry buddy lol.

Lol! Anything to help.

I wasn't expecting much from Logan much like the other 2.

Dude! The music is so good! Flawless! Combine that with the visuals and scale. I had no idea that WE would drop in like that, so I was surprised. I knew she was going to fight obviously, but the way Snyder did it was perfect.

What does "DM" mean? Must be some Instagram lingo I'm not familiar with.

Ah, too bad. I obviously love Game of Thrones. I really liked the first season of Spartacus, but it wasn't as good after the actor who played Spartacus died. I never did finish the series.

Meh, 45 isn't old either. I think we're considered middle aged until we hit 59 so we're still good, ha.

I'm sure when you're 80 you won't care about young people at all! I just want to be with it enough when I'm old where I can just be lazy and enjoy movies and tv shows.

Have you ever bought one of those ultimate collector Legos? I actually did see that Imperial Shuttle before and I wanted it! Our local Bricks & Minifigure store has the ultimate Slave I on display. I'm guessing the sets aren't worth much unless you have the box still at least. I almost bought that Ewok forest playset at one point too.

Oh my models were probably sloppy and I didn't paint them or anything so they weren't fancy. It just gave us something to do during the summer when we got bored. Pretty sure we blew most of them up with firecrackers.

I almost got emotional during the Superman funeral scene. I do not like to see my boy die!

Lol! I feel my age sometimes. I sure ain't hopping out of bed like i did in my 20's or even my 30's. Gotta ease into it, .

I have a feeling you two are going to love the movie and I'm going to be the downer again. I loved Wonder Woman herself, I loved all of the action scenes...but the movie felt very much like CA: First Avenger (including a crew of misfits) and First Avenger isn't really one of my favorite movies so I wasn't too into this one either. That's all I'll say other than that was the most empty I've seen the theater on preview night.

I go back and forth on the marriage/kids thing. At the end of the day I think I'm too damaged and selfish for that.

See that's my problem with Legos. They are fun to build, but afterwards it's like "okay, what now?" Maybe you should get tons of troopers and build an epic battle scene. That's another thought I've had before with the Lego castle sets.

I saw Zatanna went up for sale today. I clicked on it to see more pictures, but was so disinterested that I didn't even check the price. Man, 3 years ago I would have ordered any DC statue in a heartbeat.

I like the first CA better than the following 2, but all 3 are good IMO. My wife went to see WE with my daughter last night and they liked it. I had bike maintenance to do for a ride today, so I had to skip it. Will probably be waiting for blu.

You know, I thought the same thing about marriage. In fact, I never planned on it or having kids. I enjoyed my lifestyle too much. That all changed the first time I laid eyes on my wife. I hadn't met her, talked to her, anything. I just knew once I saw her she was the one. I even told my parents about her, and that she was the one before I knew her name, lol! You'll know man.

Ha, yeah I need to start stretching in the morning. I do not wake up ready to go.

The second Captain America is definitely my favorite as it's my favorite Marvel movie. I've lightened up a little already on how I felt about Wonder Woman, it was decent.

My entire life I've heard from people how they "just knew" when they met that right person. I don't think that's a real thing!

I love the ending battle with Doomsday in BvS so much. WW's entrance was really awesome, I love the way she just dropped down.

I have to ease into waking up every morning already. Every day I wake up the heal of my right foot hurts :meh:. I can only imagine what kinds of other random pains I'm going to be getting over the rest of my lifetime.

I really love the first Cap, and I really love the second one too. They both have a very different feel than the other one which I love. I've gotta watch Civil War again one of these days, I don't think I've watched it other than the first time when I got it.

Did you get a PSN private message the other day from a woman/man/person claiming to be a 22 year old female that eventually tried to get you to sign up for an adult webcam service? I get these in my emails every now and then but I never had anyone actually private message me through the PlayStation Network to try to get me to sign up . This was a new level of desperation from them LOL.

Dang, that face looks real! I think you need it, ha ha.

Did you get any Star Wars Legos this weekend?

Ha, yeah I need to start stretching in the morning. I do not wake up ready to go.

The second Captain America is definitely my favorite as it's my favorite Marvel movie. I've lightened up a little already on how I felt about Wonder Woman, it was decent.

My entire life I've heard from people how they "just knew" when they met that right person. I don't think that's a real thing!

LOL. I thought long and hard this weekend about if I should get her or not, but I finally decided its not going to happen. I do like WW, but I'm just not a big enough WW fan to spend $2.1K on a statue of her. That's a lot of money! If I did that I'd be a lot like that guy you were talking about that bought the XM Cable and spent a lot of money on a cool looking statue while not having a big enough connection to the character. For that much money (money I don't really even have to spend after I got cleaned out from the last 2 lol) I could get quite a few characters I like a lot more in PF, or a couple 1/3s, or I could fund a mighty fine small collection of HT's.

I didn't, but I'll probably pick up a set soon.

For me I think the second Cap could possibly even be better than the first Avengers movie. Its a really good movie!

I don't think its a real thing either, I just get the feeling of "here comes another one, lets see how badly this one ends" lol.

Good reasoning on why not to pick up Wonder Woman. That's pretty much the same reason that will lead me to sell my Lobo PF. I don't really have any connection to the character. It's probably why I'll pass on Elektra too. As much as I love Daredevil comics, I have never really cared for Elektra. I would buy a Stilt-Man PF before her, ha ha. It doesn't help that XM's Elektra is probably one of their worst statues.

I just saw a list of every Marvel movie ranked. I disagreed with pretty much all of it (other than Iron Man being in the top 3). They had Spider-Man 2 at #1, Iron Man at #2, and Logan at #3. Winter Soldier was way down at #10 with Civil War being rated ahead of it.

I might get a Lego set this weekend if I'm bored. I drove down to Devil's Tower in Wyoming on Saturday just for something to do. It's a pretty cool landmark (it's featured in Close Encounters of the Third Kind).

Stilt-Man? You really love those obscure characters!. I'm waiting for the Condiment King PF! I agree XM's Elektra isn't good, I wonder if they'll make a different one.

I never agree with any of those lists that appear online. But I'll admit my tastes in movies is way different than what the majority of the internet's is. Like my love of the SW Prequels. I absolutely love the first Iron Man so I'd rank that one up there, I also love the first 2 Spider-Man movies, I think the first is still my favorite though. Winter Soldier would be higher up on my list than theirs. I just don't see whats so great about Logan. Its an okay movie, but people are acting like its the greatest superhero movie of all-time. And its coming from people who aren't X-Men fans or who aren't fans of the X-Men movies. Most of those people thought Hugh Jackman was a terrible casting for Wolverine :cautious:. I seriously question how many people out there have any form of individuality and how many just blindly follow what the internet deems as good, like a pack of sheep.

That sounds pretty cool! Did you take any pics? Let me know if you get any Legos lol.

Ha, I was just trying to prove how little I care for Elektra! Maybe the Netflix actress will eventually make me like the character more. Jennifer Garner certainly did not! The sad thing is that since Condiment King is a Batman villain he actually has a chance of being made. Sideshow will probably make him before they make Flash.

I agree the first two Spider-Man films are great, I recently re-watched them and still really liked them both. The CGI isn't quite as good as it is now, but still great films. Logan wouldn't even be in my top 10. I think people are just on the hype train right now since it just came out. I often see people proclaiming a new movie they just saw "the greatest movie ever." I've already seen people saying Wonder Woman is the best DC movie ever...better than The Dark Knight. I'm the opposite, I usually don't think much of a movie the first time I see it and it grows on me later on. I don't recall thinking Winter Soldier was the best when I saw it in the theater, but after watching it again at home I really loved it. I think if I made a list of my favorite superhero films from any company, 3 of my top ten wouldn't even be a Marvel or DC movie (Kick-Ass, The Incredibles, and Unbreakable).

Ha! I hope they get to Flash first. If they get to Condiment King first, I don't think they'll ever make Flash lol. I like that chick that plays Elektra on the show, if anyone can make you like the character more its her lol. I actually like Jennifer Garner too, not necessarily as Elektra, but I think she's cute and she hasn't gone nutso like so much of the rest of Hollywood. She seems like a regular sane person.

I agree the CGI doesn't hold up that well on the original Spidey films, luckily the stories do. I've seen a lot of people saying WW is the greatest DC film too. I still haven't seen it yet, but I just don't think I'm going to be one them that says that. The vast majority of people seem to think The Dark Knight is the best DC film ever, but its not mine, its not even my favorite Batman movie. Out of Nolan's movies Batman Begins would be my favorite, I still think Burton's '89 is the best Batman movie though. A lot of movies grow on me over time too, which is exactly what happened with Man of Steel. I need to watch Unbreakable again, I haven't seen that in like 10 years.

Awesome pic! Has anyone ever tried to climb that thing? BTW awesome t-shirt! I can't believe I am ever going to say this, but my favorite statue of all-time is now a Superman statue. Now every fiber of my body is screaming "noooooooooo".

I've seen a lot of people say that Batman Begins is the best movie of the trilogy and I wouldn't really argue with that, it's a solid movie. I just like The Dark Knight because of Heath Ledger. I'm assuming that's why most people love it, he's the best part of that movie. I haven't seen the original Batman or Batman Returns in so long. I really need to watch those again one of these days. As dirty as this makes me feel, The Dark Knight is probably my favorite DC movie. Hopefully that makes you feel better about Superman being your favorite statue. :p

Oh yeah, people climb that thing all the time. In fact, a guy fell and died a couple days before I was there. I don't know why anyone would even try to climb that. Some things are better admired from a distance.

Did you see Split? I'm super excited we're getting a Split/Unbreakable sequel. I kind of wish it had happened years ago though!

I am floored The Dark Knight is your favorite DC movie. I would have thought for sure it would have been Superman '78. Are you sure you are a Supernan fan? :p The Dark Knight is a great movie and Heath was phenomenal in it. I can easily see why so many people love the movie, I like it a lot too.

Holy crap! There is no way I'd ever try to climb that! I barely even want to climb stairs lol. Its really awesome to look at though, even in pics. I can't imagine how great it must be in person.

I really want to see Split, but I'm glad I didn't without seeing Unbreakable again first. I had no clue it had anything to do with that movie until I heard people saying there is a connection. I don't think they should have waited this long either.

The old Superman is just a little dated and too slow for me. Nothing beats Ledger's Joker. Speaking of Batman movies, did you order the Lego Batman steelbook? The cover is so cool, I might break down and buy myself a birthday present.

You don't really need to watch Unbreakable first as long as you've seen it before.

Are there any national parks or national monuments in Wisconsin?

I just got back from WalMart...I wandered down the Lego aisle, but showed restraint.

Its definitely dated, but a lot of people that don't like MoS feel the character is lacking the nobility or something that Reeve's Supes had. Or they don't like the amount of distruction Superman wasn't able to prevent in MoS, I think they seriously wanted him to spin the earth backwards to reverse the destruction again :p. That was so silly but it worked great for the time. A lot of other people really like Superman Returns as it has a lot of the Reeve characteristics while giving it an updated feel. I love both MoS and Superman Returns, but one of my buddies doesn't understand how I can like SR because its "too boring".

That looks really awesome! Is it coming out on your birthday? I ordered the 3D one and its not available in a Steelbook :(. Hopefully I'll at least get a lenticular sleeve.

I can barely remember anything about Unbreakable lol. Its been way too long since I've seen it. I'll watch it this weekend and I'll probably pick up Split too.

Good job resisting!

There are a couple cool parks in Milwaukee, Grant park is a really nice one. I don't usually go to them that often because I'm not a big nature nut lol. Once during grade school we went to some kind of nature preserve and I was just constantly nuking mosquitoes with the can of Off I brought with me .

I'm far from a nature nut, that's another reason I can't find a girl around here. Every one of them is (or claims to be) a hardcore outdoors person. I love the scenery and the nature, but I'm more of a sit by the lake and read books person. I have no interest in over night backpacking trips, hunting, or riding horses.

My biggest problems with MoS had nothing to do with him not being like Reeves' Superman. It was more that they didn't sufficiently flesh out Clark Kent. I mean Lois knew his secret identity the first time she met him! They spent the entire first part setting up Zod rather than setting up Superman. The airplane scene in Superman Returns might be my favorite action scene from a Superman movie.

That movie does come out on my birthday. I went ahead and ordered it. My nephews will enjoy watching it again.
