You'll notice steelbook.com has been reinvented a good bit. It should provide another source of information to our steelbook community. Some of you have heard me hint saying something was coming that allow you consumers to voice yourselves a bit more in a direct manner. Well this is what I was eluding too.

http://www.steelbook.com

So if you ever need/want to send scanavo a direct message now you can via their contact form/facebook/twitter. Please remain peaceful with your messages tho. ;)

They've asked me to write a little something for their site so soon you'll see that there.

this just shows how mainstream and popular this hobby is becoming, its great that they have launched this for collectors

Great piece of news Wreck. Many thanks for all your hard work in making this happen for the community. This should give us, the consumer a voice to be heard through.

It certainly wouldn't hurt any if members took it upon themselves to do the above.

Maybe then they could see how interested HDN members are in an exclusive run. :oohyeah:

We could have a donation section to raise the money for one :D
And have a vote for the title and the artwork!

I have no idea how we would store 4,000 steelbooks and get them all sent out or how much it would all cost. But we could have our own exclusive 'Usual Suspects' or 'The prestige' embossed and everything :oohyeah:

How did blufans get a 1000 run on rio?

Sorry, I am getting a bit excited :D

I might try and organize this in a couple of weeks, when I have finished exams and have 3 months off :)

Seriously, we should start a sort of petition, to see who interested & serious about it. A Hi-def exclusive is overdue IMHO. We all should vote on a title, submit fan artwork, select premium finishes, & slap a Hidefninja sticker on it. I wouldn't mind donating money to make this happen. Everytime this topic pops up I also get excited.

P.S.
A 1,000 print run would be very exclusive, heck throw in a booklet & slipcover and make it a holy grail release.

My thoughts exactly! We could have a J-card with the HDN logo printed on it with "Hi-def Ninja Exclusive" Written on it! It would be beautiful!

So we couldn't do a 1k release? Or we could but it would take forever and it would be inferior metal?

Its not that inferior, just subject to burrs, small abrasions etc. which can in turn cause small paint chips like you see so many FMC steels plagued with .... but no we couldnt do a 1k release anyways as they are limiting that to supposedly just China. 4k, and studio must approve. Its not as easy as Scanavo makes it out sometimes when they just say sure you can order 4k ... they are talking about something you own. ie. If we made a steelbook literally just the ninja logo etc. If you want to do a movie, then you have to own the movie rights.
