The "T2" is actually a little meta in-joke at the shortening of sequel titles, being that this film actually self-references itself as a sequel, and the current epidemic of nostalgia based sequel/remakes. I've had this pre-ordered with Amazon for ages and just can't be bothered cancelling and re-ordering. Have the original silver and orange version so hopefully it'll be a nice shelf-fellow.
Amazon delivered early - Quite nice steelbook, not going to blow anyone's mind but nice enough - Looking forward to watching again

If you follow the Scottish dialect you'll be fine.Is this a good blind buy? Haven't watched the original and I'm not British.
Anyone who ordered from Zoom received theres yet? Mine was dispatched on May 30th but nothing yet.

I went for the 4k disc instead. I'm at the point now where I am buying those over steels if they aren't included.
Also surprised there's no new transfer/release for the first film. Its one of the worst I've seen.
Took a gamble and ordered this from CEX online and wish I hadn't... Some lovely scratches and dings, but also not keen on the metallic effect - would have preferred a more solid orange, and also the print doesn't line up with the debossing at all. This gamble didn't pay off!

I don't know about your CEX but mine always have the steelbooks open on display and they get destroyed by getting pawed by the customers.
I have no issues with my debossing alignment at all. But I do wish they made the steelbook full gloss to match the first one.
Agreed but after reading the criticisms of the 4K Blu on another forum, it doesn't bother me that much. Then again the Blu transfer apparently isn't great.
I actually think the transfer on the blu ray is really good.............
Yes, have steelbook #1 4K + 2D @ £24.99 max. . . . but give us an option #2 of 2D only at a far cheaper price of let's say £18.99 max. (brand new films only) for those not going to upgrade for a few years and have no immediate use of the 4K discs but who still like the metal packaging.
Anyway, this one looks lovely from what I can see and - if logistically possible - bundled together with the first film would be even better in one of those beautifully designed and executed slipboxes from EBlu.
Even though there's a possibility of a TRAINSPOTTING 3 it's unlikely to be helmed by Danny Boyle so could be argued superfluous to this boxset.
