When this was announced I had just purchased Terminator Genysys 2D & 3D plus shipping from Filmarena for 1338 CZK and now 3 years later this finally gets released for 2022 CZK. That’s an increase of roughly £24

Right now I’m excited plus worried for John Wick 2 for when they announce release and prices around the 3rd films release

Raider? Never heard of that. Always been twix in the UK.
Twix in the UK, yes, but Raider in many other countries :)

From Wikipedia:
The product was first produced in the United Kingdom in 1967, and introduced in the United States in 1979. Twix was called Raider in mainland Europe for many years before its name was changed in 1991 (2000 in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Turkey) to match the international brand name. The name Twix is a portmanteau derived from 'twin biscuit sticks'.

I think it's only been Raider in the non english speaking countries of Europe..at the very least all of the german speaking countries for sure..
here's an old commercial announcing the new name

(with raider being pronounced like rider in german)

Current stats in GB:
  • E1 = 9 copies sold
  • E2 = 14 copies sold
  • E3 Box = 2 copies sold
  • E4 UHD = 6 copies sold
  • E5 3D = 7 copies sold

Considering this is T2 and a new WEA highly anticipated release in FAC collection, those stats are shocking but I'm not surprised given the prices.

I think it’s fair to say given the print run most will take their chances direct.

Is it really so much cheaper to order directly, considering that the shipping costs are already included in the GB prices?

For example E4 (the only one I'm interessted in). On the FA website it costs 46,50 € + shipping. The GB costs 53,50 € including shipping...
The problem is not GB, but the initial retail price...

The problem is not the retail price its the VAT. Without VAT is cheaper to order from the site easily

Why is VAT a factor when comparing direct purchase with GB? It's included in both cases.

Of course everything is cheaper without VAT. But it's not like VAT is optional for us end users.

Or did I get you wrong?

FA discount the VAT for customers living outside of the EU.

I don't think they adjust it to specific countries, they might, but I doubt it. They just don't charge for it and then you pay whatever the non-EU country's VAT is... that's what customs is for.
Tried finding you the link but I can't recall where I read that. Maybe howarmat knows.

Right they remove it for countries outside of EU just like amazon. But for the GB we all have to pay it.
