This thread has over 54,000 views. Alot of them hyping this release to no end, and still not sold out!? Only 1,500 copies? God I hope so. But sadly, the numbers are not looking right for me, and I got 3 of these. I guess I'll have to see what action this baby gets on ebay. If indeed people are limited to 2 copies, then I should not see Phil McKraken from Truth or Consequences New Mexico list 20 of these, with a BIN price of $100.

It does seem odd I must say, my worry is that theres been an issue with kimchi's system here - just doesnt seem right that ES releases of similar numbers have sold out in hours yet this was available for weeks and didnt sell out despite being a much more popular film and being available to to all countries to order. Hopefully there's no issues anyway and everyone gets one.

- i thought the same about the run!
- limited to 2 copies??! who said that?

For me, this is about Kimchi's reputation. It will soon become obvious to all if eBay is flooded soon after release. My concern was with Choi's comment that there's no need to rush when they come back up for sale, as they'll be enough available until the release date. We shall see...

The way i understood Choi's post was that all 1500 copies had sold out and another quantity would be up for sale later, i.e. that they have increased the print run to say 2000 or 2500 as there were talks early on in the thread about the possibility of Kimchi increasing the print run...

Also, do Kimchi accept Credit Card payment from the UK or do they only accept PayPal?

Apologies if already mentioned but there are 71 pages in this thread and i read the last 10 and the first few before giving up ;)

creating a "hype" and turning the stock level up.. EEK!
If its true, they should say the exclusive #2 is limited to 200 Copies and than raise again

It's pretty sad that a thread for a Steelbook that looks/sounds as awesome as this does is full of talk about how many copies are going to be made.

Why limit it to 200 if it is a Kimchi Exclusive. Makes no sense at all to do that. It would turn many off. 1500 - 2000 sounds right for Kimchi as they have a WORLDWIDE audience.

should be ironic. who cares now.
Just waiting for a beautiful steelbook. end of discussion for me :)

Rule No. 15628454B of section 181 of Stevo's rules for collecting steels states the following:

A Legit business will create a steel for profit, not so that a certain individual can have the rarest steelbook in the world. Believe what you see, not what you're told.

For instance, if the market demands 1000 pieces a steel, than 1000 will be created. If the demand is 100,000, than 100,000 will be created. Profit maximization folks. Don't hate them for it, all businesses are based on this premise. BTW, yeah, theres that many rules to Stevo's way of collecting.

Choi has repeatedly stated that the print run is no more than 1.5k. The print run is totally relevant to a great many collectors, as rarity is a reason those collectors choose to buy. This has been sold on that basis, so to then up the amount shortly before or shortly after dispatch would be a serious misjudgement on their behalf if they wanted to maintain any trust in the future.
