Wasn’t this the movie that killed this iteration of the franchise and made Sony consider selling Spidey back to Marvel?

Buuuuut... To each their own, horses for courses and all that. I’m happy that you guys are happy :)

(I’ll skip this and wait patiently for WeET to do Endgame)
No, Andrew Garfield not turning up to a Dinner invitation from the CEO of Sony killed this iteration. Along with Amy Pascal wanting to reboot it with a Female Spider Women which thankfully never happened, but we got Ghostbusters 2016

Andrew got screwed.
Plus this is the best scene MCU Spider-Man has been in, it's went down hill after that

The MCU solo film's imo aren't even as good as SM3 and TASM2
Tom Holland is ok, but I just think the film's aren't very good Spider-Man films

Crikey, way to reply to something from MONTHS ago.... but ok, I’ll try and recall where my mind was at when I posted in this thread waaaay back.

Y’know what? I’m going to forgo my usual “Each to their own” and “Horses for courses” patter that I usually roll out when I’m just happy people find pleasure in stuff that doesn’t ring my bell. Saying “The MCU solo films aren’t even as good as SM3 and TASM2” is fine if those movies were even vaguely well received critically. But they weren’t. Not even Sam Raimi liked SM3.

I did say in my opinion, I don't need anyone to agree with me.
But I will say being critically well received these days don't mean much.
Far from Home is definitely better then Homecoming but I'm still waiting for a MCU Spidy to match SM1&2 or even TASM(yes I believe the first was actually really good, despite not wanting a reboot)
Toms films are not terrible films, far from it.
I just don't believe they're good Spider-Man films and I can easily look past the flaws of SM3 & TASM2 and rewatch them anytime.
Homecoming & Far From Home? Not so much
But that's just my opinion

That’s fair enough.
