— My opinion :

It truly is THE dramatic series to see nowadays, imo. Serialized, well-constructed, with interesting characters, tension, suspense, cat, mouse, deception, pretenses, dozens of wigs and a quick addiction developing : that's all in this show. If your a fan of spy films, it's a must-see.

— Why steelbooks of The Americans?

-Because it's a fantastic TV series and quality programs should get the steelbook treatment (it's quite annoying when you see horrid films get it).

- 20th Century Fox has already released a TV show in a steelbook, Firefly, they could do it again.

- There aren't enough TV shows in steelbooks and I'd love for it to become a trend (after the great experiment of last year with The Walking Dead seasons 1, 2 & 3.

- It belongs to a genre (espionage drama) that could work well in steelbook format, we actually don't see enough spy films in those shiny metal boxes.

- There are 13 episodes each season, all episodes fit on 3 discs, meaning it would not be a jumbo (à la Walking Dead season 3 (ES)).

- It would be a sweet alternative to these awful, blu-bannered boxsets.

- Some of the art available for this show totally lends itself to some nice embossing (e.g: the hammer & the sickle on the front, missiles on the back, etc).
