6 weeks today since I placed my order with them and still nothing arrived.
Have sent off an email this morning but have as of yet received no reply.
You had any joy yet mate with a reply from Second sight?

Yeah, had a reply late on Friday. They were apologetic and have finally issued a replacement to me, but weirdly they're still saying the first copy should still arrive & saying that postage is out of their control. And that if the first one arrives before the second one could I refuse delivery of the second so that its returned to them.
Like...I know they're not personally responsibly for hand delivering it so there's no need to go blame Royal Mail or whatever, but I've paid money for a product that hasn't arrived.
So it doesn't really matter if its their issue, Royal Mail's issue, An Post's issue, I'm still without an order that was dispatched 6 weeks ago y'know.

I don’t understand why some retailers are not taking responsibility for delivery issues easily. I think it’s just a lack of customer service experience. They contract the courier/mail service, so they should be the ones who resolves delivery issues, not the customer.
I had a problem with FNAC when package was not delivered. DHL didn’t even want to talk with me as I wasn’t the one who paid them for delivery service. In the end FNAC never resolved the issue and it was my last purchase from them.

If dealing with a "courier" service, I'd agree the issue can be placed at the feet of the Retailer however with "Public Mail" not the case.
They can assign a tracking number to it and that's it, it is totally out of their hands.
This may not be the answer you wish to hear but it's the answer that describes the facts I'm afraid.
They (like all retail sites lately) provide this descriptor in their "Shipping" info FAQ.

That said and again you may not like this answer but in the current clime, delayed Post is a certainty.
I've waited over 2 months for an order from Zavvi lately and normally, I'd receive it (in Canada) in about 2 weeks.

I of course wish you the very best, I really do but sometimes things suck....

(also, I think they still hate us Irishmen...:naughty: )
