Universal Pictures and Turbine Media have announced the Extended Cut of 1980 cult film "The Blues Brothers" (John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd) for the first time on Blu-ray. The Extended Cut will also for the first time feature all-dubbed German audio (original voice cast recorded the new scenes) and runs 147 minutes.
This new release will feature a new transfer (high-quality restauration) as well as a newly included Dolby Atmos track. Universal will distribute.

Coming out in Germany September 8th.

Including the Theatrical version (existing Euro edition without the Extended Cut), plus the Extended version (including English in DTS-HDMA which was not available on the Universal US dsic, new color grading for the extended scenes and the complete German dub for the Extended edition). Limited by 5555 pieces.

Mmm, it looks as though it is in German only.
Not sure what you're talking about here. Writing on the box will be in German, yes. But an English audio track will of course be included.

Not sure what you're talking about here. Writing on the box will be in German, yes. But an English audio track will of course be included.

I looked on MM's website - no mention of language at all. Usually a good indicator that it is in German. After all they've done it countless times in the past, why not this time.

Where did you draw the info from - is it reliable?
 
This should definatly have Getman and English Audio, the first release on Steelbook from Universal had English Language so I don't see why this one wouldn't.

MM and Saturn both often have insufficient information listed in my experience, regardless of release date, label or movie. And as this edition was just put up for pre-order a few days ago, I don't think the info will be updated until very close to or even after release date.

The info is from the other German site which usually is very accurate. It's highly unlikely that an English audio track would not be included.
 
Yes. The work on the Extended (regrading of the scenes, creating a German dub for them) is performed by a German label, Turbine - as is the packaging (which is btw approved by John Landis).

The entire audio options:

Extended Edition:
- German in Dolby Atmos (True HD 7.1) and DTS-HDMA 5.1
- English in DTS-HDMA 5.1 - the only edition worldwide with English in HD audio!

Theatrical Edition:
- English 5.1 and 2.0 (stereo) DTS-HD MA - the only edition worldwide with English in HD audio!
- German 5.1 and 2.0 (mono) DTS-HD MA
