Yes, very nice an' all and about time these arrived to fill in some of the gaps in the collection.
Wake me up when these are in a "2 for GBP 10" promotion or at least a "3 for GBP 20" promotion . . .
With or without slipcovers ?
I'd imagine that all those customers who've just double-dipped on slipcovers with the new numbering style to replace the gold ovals will probably not be over-the-moon if these do not come with slipcovers to match the others . . .

So these are coming in November (with Disney Classics Numbering) :-
(1) FUN AND FANCY FREE & ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD (Nos. 9 & 11)
(2) THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH ( No. 22)
(3) THE RESCUERS & THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER (Nos. 23 & 29)
(4) BASIL THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE (No. 26)
(5) ATLANTIS (No.40)
(6) TREASURE PLANET (No. 42)
(7) HOME ON THE RANGE (No. 44)

The few remaining are (with Disney Classics Numbering) :-
(1) SALUDOS AMIGOS (No.6)
(2) THE THREE CABALLEROS (No. 7)
(3) MAKE MINE MUSIC (No. 8)
(4) MELODY TIME (No.10)
(5) THE BLACK CAULDRON (No. 25)

Next to steelbook ?
My money's on MEET THE ROBINSONS or LILO & STITCH or will it be BOLT or CHICKEN LITTLE ?

EDIT 19/10:
- HOME ON THE RANGE (Disney Classics No. 44)-available at an OK price ATM of GBP 6.99 from Amazon - the others still over 10 quid each.
- THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH (Disney Classics No.22) also at HMV Online for GBP 6.99 each.

EDIT 22/10:
Both of the above and now ATLANTIS, BASIL and RESCUERS 1&2 @GBP 6.99 at Amazon and at HMV Online.

EDIT 27/10:
ALL 7 available for pre-order from HMV Online @GBP 6.99 each
6 of the 7 available from Amazon at the same price

EDIT 12/11: A few no longer available at Amazon - others doubled in price - only one "Atlantis" still available at its lowest price of GBP 6.99.
ATM all STILL AVAILABLE at HMV Online for GBP 6.99 each (but for how much longer . . . ?).
Despite Zavvi having exclusivity for the Disney steelbooks they don't have even one of these seven new Amaray releases on their website.

Still no Aladding Return of Jafar or King of Thieves on bluray yet :(

Would hope to see theses in the not too distant future in a nice boxset in the style of:
- THE LITTLE MERMAID and THE LION KING 3-film packs
. . . or even as a 2-film pack like that coming up (January 2016) in The States.

Found this gallery of alternative Disney artwork, Some look really amazing! http://imgur.com/gallery/eD78k
There are also some home made digipaks in the gallery. @howiesteed @Geek Tragedy @rj531 @tridon @zesty @digitalbabe @apsmith21 @Wreck

Its a shame they are not a little more hi-res to make custom slipcovers.

Here are some previews:

Absolutely perfect. The thing the designers don't seem to get when they put some of the steelbook designs together, is that they're dealing with adult collectors. This more sophisticated style is perfect for a steelbook. I really hope we see that artwork used for Treasure Planet. The Atlantis one is stunning too, though I hope they use the UK special edition artwork, which is a beautiful metallic blue underwater metal and bolts effect (think captain nemo's sub).
I was gutted that the Aladdin steel didn't use the laserdisc art, that would have been perfect for the adult collector market.

Is there any information on further steelbooks? Next year? There are still some movies like Treasure Planet, Oliver & Company, The Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers Down Under etc. that would be great as steelbook, too. As far as I know the last blu-rays are released this month of the Disney classics, so they could release now every remaining one. So was there any message from zavvi/Disney about futher steelbooks of this series (like a year ago)?

Whist my bank card disagrees - I would like to see them push the Disney collection with a couple of waves rather than the odd couple trickling out now and again. Would definitely love to see the Aladdin sequels hit the UK at some point, although they didn't receive the greatest ratings I've thoroughly enjoyed them in the past. Must be at least 10 years since I've seen King of Thieves!
