zavvi are selling them as 'the disney collection'.. so they aren't just a random assortment of disney films, they are being marketed as a collection. although, it seems it is purely marketing, as there is nothing tying the releases together as a collection apart from the fact zavvi are releasing them exclusively and in a steelbook format.

lets say in 40 years time somebody looks at your collection, and you try to explain to them they were all part of a 'disney collection' by this online retailer, apart from them all merely being in tin cases, how can you prove they are actually part of a 'collection'.

that is why i think having a design theme, or numbering system running through the collection would make them more authentic as the collection zavvi are marketing them as right now. because yes, as it is, they are merely just steelbook editions of disney films that zavvi are releasing.

One thing I dislike about this collection is that it Doesn't have the Disney number on spine like the amaray and DVD do

Agreed, I mentioned before they should have a very colourful, harry potter style shelf up for sale with enough spaces for all the steelbooks :scat:

that would have been a nice touch. or even better, if each disney steelbook in the collection came with a token, and if you collected all the tokens, you get the shelf for free as a thank you lol

theme is simple...they are too lazy to make anything original or glossy and are just making poor quality matt prints of the amaray artwork.

1010 d should have had a black and white gloss print all over, with two eyes on the front cover so it looks like a massive face. at least that would have been interesting.
