Ordered! But holy crap! €58,88 = $88.96 Canadian. That's $8.00 more than I pay for the Universal CE's on Amazon UK and they include all the extra goodies.

Still I'm happy that I was able to order this. No, really, I am.

Arrow finally announced Inglorious Basterds today after teasing it years ago so there is still a chance Arrow may release The Frighteners at some point (as they teased it with one of their postcards years ago too).

Personally I'm getting this steelbook version, the artwork is awesome and it covers what I'd want from this movie so Arrow are too late to get my money this time.

Well, well, well, the Frighteners steelbook is coming out this week already!
My copy is already there, and here be pictures.

The slipcase is the classic artwork; German rating logo is on a separate sticker on the front (outside the shrinkwrap).

Having removed the shrinkwrap, it's the good old classic artwork, with English texts.

The tech info is on the back:

and once again, it's a separate sheet (which fits finely into the slipcase). The back of the slipcase is a compilation of Fairwater Gazette articles.

The steelbook has the new artwork by Ronan Wolf Chuat.

There is no embossing or such, but the artwork uses the metallic surface of the steelbook quite well. The steelbook is glossy.

The artwork goes over the entire surface of the steel.

Inside: three trays, and a scene still of Michael J. Fox shortly before the finale.

The disc labels are the same as the ones from the previous Deluxe set. However, there are only 3 discs in each of the steelbook versions. Mine is the UHD set.

Excellent. Clean slip. Glossy steelbook. As much as I hoped for.

The steelbook is glossy.

To elaborate: it's not like there's an extra varnish added to it, but it's not "scratchy" as some of the Universal or Warner ones.
