Love that! Not sure I want another copy of this film though... buuuuut I'll probably change my mind sooner or later knowing me. :wacky:

Artwork is by Corey Brickley by the way...

And Scott Saslow is overseeing the overall design...

On DVD thats a even bigger joke, Arrow are a massive rip off these days, Its worth £15 at best
DVD included is not a joke
You do realise DVD still outsells Blu-ray by a big margin
Universal only allowed the archive extras be on a DVD

Arrow are not a massive rip off their limited editions sell out quickly most times
Arrow do provide standard edition after the limited editions sell out for those that miss out or just want a standard edition

It's deluxe packaging you not seen all the details yet
There is a 200 page hardback book housed in a rigid slipcase

No chance of been £15.00 be it from arrow or anyone else when you have a 200 page hardback book included

A 200 page hardback book would cost £15.00 or more if it was released on it's own
Arrow release is not just the 200 page hardback book it also includes a 2K remasted scan of the film on Blu-ray with brand new extras on the Blu-ray disc.

Arrow as usual will do a standard amaray edition at a later stage if you want a cheaper version

FFS mate do you work for arrow video or something, If you think this will sell out then your a crazy as arrow prices :)
No distributor label would release this for £15 due to the costs involved with the contents included.
Arrow had to pay licencing fees to Criterion and Universal so that increases the costs involved for the Blu-ray contents
They then had extras costs involved for the book etc

Look up 200 page hardback book listings with book retailers and see what prices are and that just listings for a book on it's own.
A lot of arrow limited editions sell out some of these are even less popular films or known about films.
This is only limited to 3000

If you want a cheaper edition get the standard edition that will be released later.

Amazon and HMV will price match each other before release date but dont expect to see price be less than £25-£30

Retailers prices are based on the dealer price from the distributor.
Some retailers have a decent file discount with a distributor it's this file discount that gives a retailer more room to drop prices on new releases.
This why you see Amazon prices be lot lower before release date on some releases.

Retailers that dont have decent file discount is why you see their prices remain high on pre orders.
When these retailers with low or no file discount drop prices they are selling at lower profit or just break even and somtimes end up selling at a loss just to get rid of stock

Note existing 2010 UK Blu-ray from universal has no extras at all
That same universall blu-ray disc was in both of the Zavvi exclusive steelbooks releases
The previous universal UK DVD special edition had extras it's that DVD disc that is in the Arrow release

It's the only the DVD universal release that has extras previously in the UK
Universal never done a Blu-ray release with extras.

USA Criterion release has extras and a 2K remaster of the film from original negative

Arrow release is the first time a UK release on Blu-ray has extras
It's using Criterion USA 2K remaster and includes some of their extras and new extras that arrow has done

Paul you take every comment so literally. Its like you have blinkers on. we will have to agree to disagree
You don't seam understand the costs involved in licensing a film from 2 different labels and costs involved in doing new extras
That's just for the Blu-ray Disc
licensing content from Criterion USA is expensive and you also have extras costs in licensing from universal
There is then extra costs involved in packaging and when doing other items books etc when doing a limited edition

Criterion USA releases is also high prices compared to other label releases

It would be impossible do this limited edition release with a retail price of £15.00

Those that don't want the limited edition will be able to get the standard edition at a later date costing a lot less than the limited edition
That's why arrow do standard editions after the limited editions sell out

They have a overall print run for the Blu-ray disc and from this they use some of the discs for limited editions and the rest of the print run for the standard edition
Arrow use this method for all their limited edition releases

Love the movie. Art is crap and the price is worse. Agree, the DVD is absolutely pointless plus I don’t really care for special features unless it’s deleted scenes or a documentary so it’s even more pointless to me
