I think this looks great. Love Teller and Joy too so I’m up for their chemistry

Didn’t mind this. Felt like a mash up of a lot of films though and a lot of genres. Bit cheesey in places but goes bonkers for the second half. Not a bad creature feature action sci fi horror romance espionage thriller… if you’re into that kind of thing. Very CGI heavy though

Not really a spoiler but…

Felt like Annihilation meets pirates of the Caribbean meets silent hill/ resident evil meets Kong Skull island meets some kind of romantic spy thriller etc etc etc

Enjoyed the film. There's a lot to have fun with despite Teller and Taylor Joy having utterly zero chemistry whatsoever.
One of those decent, above average action/horror/sci-fi mash ups that we wish there were more of and that they certainly don't make enough of any more.
A pleasant 3.5 out of 5. Fun stuff.

Wow, what a great, interesting throughout, sci-fi adventure movie. Yes, even though it's set in one location, with basically two characters, it has everything a good old quality mid-budget film had in the 90's - multilayered story, romance, twists and reveals, even if sometimes predictable for a genre afficionado, 'edge of your seat', tense action sequences, and awe of discovery, with excellent creature/mutant design. There's one particular cool scene that brought back those Aliens feelings, and it happens Sigourney Weaver is in this too - for a very short couple of cameos, but she makes them count!
Overall I loved it, Anya Taylor-Joy is a joy, to coin a phrase.
As a cherry on top, it ends with the great Alison Mosshart singing in a featured The Dead Weather song!

P.S. Seen more than a couple of people mention Annihilation as comparison, and have to note, to those who felt like me especially, that Annihilation was a boring incoherent mess, while this is nothing like that.

I thought the first half of the movie was nearly perfect.

Its only when they fall into the gorge and they reveal everything going on down there is where it started to lose me.

The mystery of it is always more exciting than the reveal.
I still liked it for the most part, but i'll say sometimes not delivering answers and leaving things up to the audience's imagination can make for a better movie.
