What a great looking box set.. SS usually doesn’t disappoint with their editions. That being said, this movie was set up to be a fantastic horror/thriller movie in the first 5-10 minutes, but it kind of turned into an action/chase film. A film that I never really had the want to watch twice.

anyone think amazon will price match zavvi and others?
Did you not read post #96
The price on Amazon will drop to £49.99 or less before release date.
£69.99 is RRP

Amazon UK with second sight releases when first go live always initially list using RRP and then a few days or a few weeks later will drop in price to use retail price which for this release is £49.99
If you pre order at £69.99 the Amazon pre order price guarantee will auto apply the price drop to your order when it happens.

Absolutely lovely art. That really works for my eyes. But the film just don’t do anything for me and always found it stupidly overrated. Each to their own of course but it does look gorgeous

Second Sight Store since Thursday are not accepting orders for delivery address in USA.

I don’t know if this is an error or intentional.

The Hitcher is supposed to be getting a USA release with another label so might be due to this.

Finally watched this earlier, and whilst it wasn't quite what I expected, I still enjoyed it. Not sure I'm willing to blow £50 on it however, even if I do really like the look of this set... hopefully it'll stick around for a while and drop in price.

Rutger is a legend in the Netherlands. Turks Fruit (Dutch classic), Blade Runner, Blind Fury ( :) ) and this great 80' flick really made him that BIG. Shame all is left is now is Famke Jansen... :(

I've not actually seen much of his work come to think of it... apart from this and Blade Runner, the only other film of his I recall seeing is Hobo with a Shotgun. Definitely all very memorable performances.

He also starred in Batman Begins playing the character acting (no pun intended) as the interim CEO at Wayne Enterprises. Surely you've seen that film!

I have (multiple times), but don't recall him in it. Just Googled him and saw he was also in Sin City, one of my favourites! They must've been really minor roles or I just didn't recognise him.

Have you not seen the following films Nighthawks/Ladyhawke/Flesh and Blood/Wanted: Dead or Alive/Split Second

Salem's Lot remake from 2004 a TV Film Rutger Hauer was Kurt Barlow character in the remake.

Nighthawks (1981) was his hollywood debut film it also stars Sylvester Stallone

Yeah, the man definitely falls under the category of 'character actor' ala Steve Buscemi or John Turturro, albeit less renowned.

I've heard of them all, but never seen them. More to add to the watchlist I suppose :D
