I think one of the the best things about the movie is the reveal of Smaug.

Seeing him for the first time is a great experience and I think the people behind the art for this release know that some people buying this have NOT seen the film. It's actually very nice of them. I hate it when cover art spoils the film.

But ya. Dragon art would Look amazing... but just saying.
