"Fans of the biggest film of 2014, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, are having a good day. The massive hit sequel is now available on Digital HD ahead of its Blu-ray/On Demand debut, which comes on March 6. To make fans aware of the digital release, Lionsgate has put two of the film’s deleted scenes online.

The first is a specific side of the film we didn’t get in the theatrical cut. It’s a scene between President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) that teases the crucial, brutal relationship between the two, which will pay off in Part 2. The second is a funny scene with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) getting dolled up by Effie (Elizabeth Banks)."

The strategy of releasing as a digital copy a few weeks before the blu-ray street date is such a smart strategy. Get people to buy the digital copy at full price a few weeks early and buy the blu-ray at full price a few weeks later (which already has a digital copy!) lol
