So I have picked up a old hobby and just bought a ld player again (Pioneer CLD D925)
Discs are coming in, but the nicest one hasnt reached me yet but they look like this:

Received my Pioneer CLD D925 today and some discs, finally....been 20 years since I playes around with these things, love it!

Congrats buddy @Hooch looks really cool I never jumped on the LG boat resp. I missed it.
I guess the LG Era was in my point of view too short and I couldn´t really realize it

Thanks Digitalbabe They are fun, especially for those just into all the artwork that went into producing them. A lot of the artwork and covers on the ones I have, I have never seen on any dvd/blu-ray box. Some of the artwork would make fantastic steelbooks.

I think this all shows up where 4k went wrong. If it had been me I would have brought back the laserdisc format for 4k with all the nice artwork, box sets etc. 4k is always going to be niche market so I would be appealing to laserdisc fans. I still have laserdisc players and a massive collection and still enjoy them despite the advent of blu-ray. Just doing another blu-ray disc for 4K doesn't exactly make me go wow. And lets be honest how many people love it when a new steelbook comes out for blu-ray with all that wonderful artwork. Artwork and art is important here and all those laserdisc images here remind of of that aspect. For me it's no surprise vinyl has made such a comeback. Like laserdisc it's fun and collectable......
And for the record (no pun intended) this "Old fart" has over 2000 laserdiscs and over 50 box sets and still collecting.

@Bruckle The LD is nice, but the movie is just plain to strange for me! It´s like one big acid trip (I guess!)
