The Last Kingdom is a British television eight-part serial adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s best-selling series of historical novels known as The Saxon Stories.
Set in the late ninth century, when what is known as England today was several separate kingdoms. The Anglo-Saxon lands are attacked and, in many instances, ruled by Danes. Anyone watch this on BBC Two the other night?
Having watched the other series 'Vikings' I found it difficult not to compare the two and I don't think the acting was nearly as good but found it very watchable and look forward to the next episode.
