It's not noted as an HMV exclusive, so I assume this will be available from the usual retailers in the UK. There is a listing for it on Amazon, but no price or ability to purchase at the time of posting.

Damn I really hope there will be a steelbook version that will match the steelbook art for Season 1

I saw this one doing the rounds which did kinda match the season 1 style and thought it was going to be the steel. Not sure I like the OP art

I'll get the steelbook but season 2 sucked. Part 2 of the game was divisive but not for the same reasons as season 2 of the show so that's quite the accomplishment :rofl:

Personally I didn’t like the story of Part II or how they went around it but the show managed to make it look great in comparison. Hard thing to do but here we are.

Can’t believe they think Part II needs 3 seasons, I’d have preferred the first game stretched into 2 seasons instead. Also they really managed to ruin Ellie in the show sadly. Oh well least we still have Fallout.

I guess we're the odd ones out, I didn't care for Part II at the time but I appreciated them trying something different and bold, but I really liked the way season 2 brought it all to life. I just wish they gave us more than 7 episodes and crammed it all in one season instead of stretching it out to two.

Still, I'm looking forward to see how they bring the seraphite island scene to the screen.

I actually quite like this steel design (don't like the price though!). I liked the artwork for series 1 as well, although it is annoying that both steels use different styles. I imagine they'll do a complete series set at some point in the future anyway, so whatever.

As for the show itself... I think it makes sense that they split the second game into 2 seasons, since there's a lot to cover - Ellie's pov and then Abbie's pov. Hoping the fourth season (if it is indeed happening) is something new/different.

Love both games anyway, and thought Bella was brilliant as a young Ellie in season 1. I don't find her convincing at all as an older Ellie however, and it eventually got to the point where it started to annoy me unfortunately.

I'm wondering why the US version is so much cheaper, it's only $40 from Gruv which is a really nice price. You don't have to think twice about that price while at £50? I'm just going to pass.

Surely shipping (to the U.K.) brings it to around the same price? Maybe a few quid less?

Oh no, no, I didn't mean it like that. Gruv only ships to the US so you'd only be able to see those savings by offsetting the shipping costs of using a reshipping service and selling extras which is a lot of work to save a few quid but I'm just wondering why the price is so different, the UK version is over 60% more expensive and we normally have competitively priced stuff.

Surely the US prices aren't including VAT?

Nah not having the story in the show was better than the game

You're right they ruined Ellie in the show though (well in season 2 anyway)

Yup that's right and normally when I compare stuff (in general) between the US and UK, the US price plus 20% matches up pretty closely to the UK price but as I said it's over 60% which was what caught my attention.

Maybe the UK price is just bad, maybe they know the first season sold well over here and expect strong sales regardless, maybe the Gruv price is just an outlier, I dunno.
