I saw lenti in hand and It is a clear winner, amazing clarity and depth and I feel the film from it, unlike slip B.
Yeah, the lenti turned out a lot better than I expected... possibly the best of the bunch if I'm being honest.

Funny you should say that about slip B though... I feel A is the worst culprit for not reflecting the film well, whilst B and the lenti fit perfectly IMO.

That's why I disregarded full slip B at first.

Then I saw the film, and the pornstar is central to it all so it made sense then!

Is there any special finish on the back of the lenti?

Yep, I think TheOn do really great job with their lenticulars, I have FDTD lenti also and I think it´s brilliant. Actually, they do really great job overall. Love them almost the same as TheBlu.

Regarding slip B, to each his own and all that :) but like I said many times before, it is amazing slip indeed, just not feeling it....

Yes it is, classic embossed and glossed characters

Fantastic photos @Flloydo

Infact so fantastic that I've just gone and bagged me an A2 slip from WDPung!!

That edition wasn't on my radar before. Actually it was probably my least favourite.

Just goes to show that in-hand photos of the end product really can make a difference.

Thanks man. Glad you managed to get one. I was worried about this slip at first but to me it suited the film more. Also the lenti but my initial reaction wasn’t impressed with it but since release I’ve seen other videos that haven’t used a hot wired potato to film the effect and it looks much better.

But yeah defo a surprising under dog gem and the ‘sparkle’ made it much cooler (is the least manly thing I’ve ever said)

Great pics Flloyd!!! Didnt like this slip until now!!

Cheers man. I think it seems to be the same for a lot of people until pictures surfaced

And just goes to show why all retailers should try their best to provide live shots of lenti's/slips before pre-order :grumpy: Where possible and within reason I know, I understand this can't always be possible. Some do now but mostly we tend to seem them (if at all) after orders have already been placed. Most of the time it's just pot luck if we're gonna like what we eventually receive lol, and for the most part I'm usually happy/satisfied or even better expectations can be exceeded, dependant on the edition of course. FS-A I'm overall happy but the low-res images of Gosling and Crowe is pretty bad, and on a premium release no less... :cautious: Why couldn't they have edited or enhanced or better yet, source better quality material before printing?? Going by the mock-ups I'd never have gone for FS-B or the Lenti, but now I'd take either/or over FS-A lol :pain:

Yep 100%, annoys me so much when they do it a few days after pre order

I wish i see Live Photo’s of mantas first man before I ordered the lenti

Yep, B certainly suits the film the most out of all the slips which was what my original thought on it all was. It’s why I didn’t understand the thought process behind slip A. Don’t go at all.
Lenti suits it too in a official poster way but B certainly gels best because of the subject and nature of the film. Plus the colours all match and compliment the steelbook, not that colour matching bothers me, infact I prefer completely different arts for a variety feel but every so often one matches up and just goes, and it did in this case

With the 3 on steel releases I only have full slips, I’m more a lenti Guy too but only if I like the art used, hopefully I get around to getting a lenti of theirs on a future release. Interested to see how they turn out in person. So far dusk till dawn and this look decent from the videos but wasn’t a fan of the pans lenti.

Yep I wasn´t a fan of Pans lenti too, I don´t like transition lentis, most of the time you just can´t see a proper picture of it with complete transition, there is always something left from the other picture and that annoy me a lot.....but the artwork chosen was great and it has some depth as well...the transition just ruined it....

FDTD lenti is a different story though, the transition there is only with a smoke from the gun and it is nicely done, but most importantly it is a classic poster artwork and it´s super clear and deep, and just fits the flick nicely....I love it...

And now again - classic poster art for a lenti, it seems to be rule with TheOn.....just keep up the good work and get rid of that bloody transition effect, it´s useless.....luckily I don´t mind it with Nice Guys because it´s just in the background and barely noticable....what you see is just super clear and deep picture, it´s amazing...

May have to go visit the Pung on eBay and get this FS-B everyone's raving about :p Luckily he still has all individual editions available and at cost price too, or even a couple bucks less in fact. Do that, then get rid of my FS-A. Sounds like a plan ;):cigar:

Yep, y’all know I hate a transitional lenti.
I tell you what did turn out cool and it’s very subtle and also I wasn’t even aware it was going to be semi transitional was mantas shape of water double lenti. Although the back is rubbish, I love how the front art turns to a kind of subtle glowing luminous blue.

Blufans zootipia single lenti and their finding dory double lenti too. Again semi transitional on both, you have the the lovely depth image around a small transitional character with different facial expressions (dory and nick). Plus with dory they went all out and embossed the title and bowl and also made the octopus transitional with 2 colours.

Other than that, the blu collections memento which will always hold top spot for me.

But yeah, just depth driven lentis please

LOL, wasn´t my intention at all, but since you are there...

seriously though, it´s just a choice of which artwork you like more, both those slips are great (but the lenti more
:naughty:
)
I've started to dig the front artwork of FS-B a lot, and I really like that finish, like others have said, reminds me of Kimchi's H8 blue FS which I adore also. Back art not so much for me, too similar to the back of the steelbook, but it's ok and good in its own right. Lenti front art I wasn't particularly impressed by as I've seen it so much already, but it's a classic movie poster and the back has the other 3 characters on it too. Hmmm, decisions decisions... Will have to have another look at some Lenti vids/pics before deciding :watch:
