So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

I don't know if this is the right thread to talk about this but I am starting to get annoyed with the amount of unpaid cases on eBay. I have had report three users in the last two weeks for not paying for stuff they buy from me. Why do people bid on stuff they clearly cannot pay for. And I'm talking about users who have 100% feedback with at least 10+ score.

Back to this thread, I actually just bought Batman Begins and TDK Korean steelbook from eBay for combined £150 inc shipping which I think is reasonable considering their value shoots up by the week. What do you guys think?

Best thing is make sure they agree to the transaction cancellation then just block them mate. Time wasters!!!

I've experienced two in short succession also. Enormously frustrating.

I too have had this issue lately. I changed my "Buyer requirements" to Block buyers who: Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 1 Month(s) & Have 4 Policy Violation report(s) within 1 Month(s).

I am surprised that after I changed this, I have actually had a couple of people contact me saying they cannot bid on my items and said they had some unpaid strikes against them. I told them I cannot change my requirements because of too many unpaid items.

It won't stop them all, but it has already helped me. ;)

About 2 or 3 months ago I saw The Terminator 2.0 v.2 w/t black slipcover for sale, it was selling new for roughly $260 US dollars. Oh, how I look back and wish I would have bought it. To be fair I was fairly new to the game. Anyways, he has some serious RARE stuff, but for outrageous prices.

Ah, you missed a good choice, do not hesitate next time. In China, there are some V2, the lowest is about 400$, so the price you mentioned is good.:scat:

OMG! £150 that is way too much for two steelbooks. I don't think that is reasonable at all. I paid way less for my copies. Though, I can understand, when I first started out I paid some outrageous prices for steels (that I thought were SUPER RARE). Don't worry though, because I am pretty sure once the third white Steelbook (if ever) comes out the price should soar. People will want a complete Steelbook trilogy of the film.

Yes, believe me there are days I wish I pulled the trigger.

Anyways, if you want see a ridiculous price check this out. It has to be some error because this Steelbook is still available and is not rare.

Really $499.99, might as well make it $500. :hilarious:

That looks suspect to me, its too much and the top bidder has zero feedback.

yeah I didn't think it looked right as there are lots of newbie bidders, also I thought that steel went for around £300-400.

Yeah I think it has been known to go for even more that that, not anywhere near £999 though! I get a feeling there will be a non payer on that auction!
