So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

This guy must have bookmarked this thread and is playing with us. We should stop advertising for him since its clear whenever we mention his listings he puts his prices even higher.

I was thinking the same thing, seriously, I think he does it to torture us :hilarious::naughty:. He's probably waiting for Slim to cave in and buy Thor Japan. Heck, I'm tempted by his The Bourne Trilogy Japan steel.

Bait and hooked.

Sells ludicrously high priced rare steels, gets people looking at his auctions, and then hopefully gets a sale.

Is that a sexual innuendo?

Once these go it be back to all the others available at high prices again.

How are you going to 'cork' him? :) :hilarious:

Its a phrase we use in fishing. You put your net out right in front of the other persons. The corks are what float the net.

Maybe I should increase my prices. Free advertising from you guys.

I just hope people take the time to research prices a bit before being tempted to pay over the odds. In the case of one much-discussed individual here, you can see through ebay history how he bought a particular Korean steel and immediately loaded the price by 200 bucks and relisted it. Even though that item is still available elsewhere much cheaper. Knowledge is your friend when it comes to buying rarities on eBay, and doing a bit of homework can help save a lot of money.

Everyone here is clearly advertising his ebay items! We all know he jacks the prices up high, but if he makes money out of it, fair play to him.

he is no different than alot of members here, alot of other members here buy steelbooks to sell at a profit, if people are stupid enough to pay way over the top prices for steelbooks then thats their problem ,

It's different if you can't locate the item for a cheaper price any where else then I wouldn't say they are stupid at all if the buyers are decorated collectors.
