If we want to change things, all we can do is to write a complaint to the retailers. Kimchidvd said the would "reduce" the GB copies, after the Deadpool fiasco.
Whatever that means.

Remember this site is run by people who have jobs and families.

Thank you for having one of the few sensible posts since yesterday in this thread. Some of the self entitled folks on here seem to think that we work for them and that our lives stop and start at their whim.

When we try to start the GB on time, we have people rabidly hitting refresh without even waiting for the page to load which slows the site to a crawl. That makes it hard for the mod trying to open the GB to do so on time. So when the GB actually opens a few minutes late, we have haters and naysayers. Now the GB opened a couple of minutes early and we still have haters and naysayers because they didn't get their lollipop. Grow up!

To those who missed out and expressed their disappointment in a rational way without throwing hate, I say "I'm sorry you missed out and hope you get to secure a copy either on the site when it goes live to pre-order or if the host manages to secure additional copies for the GB".

As for the usual suspects instilling vitriol in here, your posts don't deserve any further comments.

I didn't join the GB, but many thanks to @Apollon for taking time out of his day to handle everything the best he could. I've seen people say it went live between 2-5 mins early... fact is not everyone's watch will be set exactly the same, and when the site starts lagging due to the amount of people rushing in for the GB, then it's bound to be difficult to hit that live button on time! At least it wasn't hours early/late like some Zavvi pre-order live times.

You can't please everyone no matter what you do.Just keep doing what you do and a big thanks to all involved in making group buys possible.Like i said earlier if it wasnt for this forum then alot of people would not have certain things in there collection. We are collectors and what makes collecting more challenging and interesting is trying to get what you want. But you cannot win them all.
Again a big thanks to all who do GB's.Without your help this site and our collections wouldn't be here

I hear ya. Same here. Especially when one movie is costing upward of €50!

Yeah, one really has to watch out when collecting premium releases. They are expensive from the beginning, not to mention all the fees and shipping costs coming on top of that!
I spend almost $ 300 in the last four months for only 6 steelbooks, and that's on condition that I have been selective.
Sometimes I really wonder how some of you can go for One Click everytime and still havn't got killed by your wives or girlfriends :hilarious:

Back to topic: to those who missed the GB, as far as I can remember, the pre-order of MoS went quite smoothly. It seems that Manta has got a server with some good performance. So you still have a good chance or even a better chance to get one on the official pre-order day on their website

Does anybody know what day they are going to release pics/video of the leather slip ?

It's funny that there is so much hype around it and we actually haven't seen what it looks like :0

This is my first one click i have ever gone for and after the wife kills me, will be the last! Don't think I'm going to be able to go for a one click ever again after the wife breaks my fingers! And in case anybody is wondering, I haven't told her yet, I value my family jewels!

@Lewis Watts I am going for the Leather slip but I have my reservations in a way. For example, will it peel? Will it fray? Will it arrive without any sort of holes, rips or tears? Will it meet expectations or look tacky? There's only one way to find out...

I kinda panic bought a one click :0 hahaha

Yeah that's what I was thinking. If it's the same pleather that is used for cheap phone cases then it may rip over time but saying that it's going straight into a steel shell when I get it so its not going to be handled all that much so it should be fine.

From the teaser shot it sort of looks like it will come looking pre weathered to me which would be cool !. Either way I'm waiting anxiously for the full reveal

@Apollon I just read your post about the moaners and haters and I completely agree. (Yes I just licked his arse to all the haters who
read this )
I haven't read their posts however so no idea what they have said but the lives of folk do not start and end with these forums, and it is not a requirement to provide people with a free meal ticket to a group buy. You either get one or you don't. If you forget, are too late, your system is too slow or whatever other excuse you come up with then it is nobody's fault on here. I have seen this sort of thing before and it annoys me because people have lives.

I am trying my luck via the website and if I don't get one then I don't get one, I won't lose sleep over it.

We are all collectors but at the end of the day it is 'just a film', or more to the point 'just a slipcover', and no need to throw your toys out, especially towards people who are attempting to provide a better chance for you to obtain something you are likely unable to get at the price it is at currently.

Well, with all due respect, if you want to add your two cents, you really should read those posts first ;)
No one was moaning about forgetting, too late, or system too slow, but that the GB started few minutes earlier. I was there accidentally and was also surprised to see that there was already a page full of posts.

I can understand that many were upset. It's like catching a train, you are there on time but the train left already.
But I also understand that the mods only started earlier because they saw that the HDN server became slow.
So if we really need a scapegoat, it's those who were pressing F5 like crazy before that!
