I'd be super tempted, except it's paramount, and they have a painful habit of hard printing EVERYTHING on their UK fullslips.

Only thing bothering me. But I really like the art and design. Extras are cool. Plus I don’t own the film and have been meaning to for years. Wasn’t big on the steel but I like the PET and slip etc and goes much better with the rest

Same, except I do own the same steel, with the old slip (same design as this new vhs fullslip). Granted, its a card slip, and a 1080p only steel (plus it's from Italy, as the UK slip had hard printed bbfcs), but still. I'll have to see this in hand before I order, as I see the fullslip being a mess, as usual.

Oh I definitely want this! Too bad the steelbook is the same, as I got separately, but at least its PET slip is different (like on the re-release).
 
Hoping there'll be some special features on the disc(s) this time, the last Blu-ray SteelBook was barebones. I missed being able to watch the videotape in full from my old DVD copy (granted, it was scarier when you still had a landline in the house!).
 
I've never watched the US remake, only the Japanese OG. I might have to rectify this situation.
Is it any good?
Knowing the plot already, was it worth watching for those that had already seen the original?
Interested to hear opinions.

To be totally honest - and I never say that - the US remake is superior to the Japanese original. I watched the Japanese trilogy after the US remake and I was bored to death.

So Paramount finally switching to J-/C-Cards on their rigid slipcase editions! :thanks:

However here are still rating logos shown on the spine, unlike with the World War Z edition (which doesn't have a Steelbook). :sour: What do you guys think, just a faulty placement on the beauty shots? Or will this in fact have the logos on the spine?

Watched both back in day, re-watched them again recently. Both are great, but I think the remake has slightly better pacing.
