So Paramount finally switching to J-/C-Cards on their rigid slipcase editions! :thanks:

However here are still rating logos shown on the spine, unlike with the World War Z edition (which doesn't have a Steelbook). :sour: What do you guys think, just a faulty placement on the beauty shots? Or will this in fact have the logos on the spine?
I don't trust paramount at this point. PET slips for steelbooks, yes. Fullslips, no. I'll need to see this in hand to believe that it doesn't have printed logos on the front/spine. Probably a printed back and the 4K banner at the top too.

I've never watched the US remake, only the Japanese OG. I might have to rectify this situation.
Is it any good?
Knowing the plot already, was it worth watching for those that had already seen the original?
Interested to hear opinions.
Remake is better. Only other time I can say that is Let me In

How can you say something so accurate, immediately followed by something so wrong? :naughty:
The original let me in (Let the right one in) is an incredible film and miles better than the original Japanese Ring film, however, the cat scene in Let the right one in is so ridiculous and the Matt Reeves version is slightly better. Not by much but it’s better

Yeah, okay, the cat scene is ridiculous, I'll give you that.

There's a few others, like Insomnia with Pacino.
Didn’t even realise that was a remake. I actually don’t like that film. Watched it again recently too because it had been so long but yeah it just don’t do it for me

The original is super slow but I thought that's what made the horror so much more impactful, it's not hard to see why people might prefer the American remake but for me comparing them is like comparing a decent home cooked meal versus some fast food.

Dredd's not a remake?

Yeah. More like a reboot

Dune, Scarface, True Grit, It, Dredd
Lol ok yeah I fully agree with you there. I knew there was more when I said that earlier and I was waiting for someone else to post them but yeah absolutely bang on with all 5 of them. I truly hate David Lynchs Dune too and the coen bros true grit is a masterpiece. IT is also miles better than the Tim curry version. Yeah spot on
