The Signs Of Steelbook Addiction

Thought I, as a caring member of society, would start a thread to help people recognise those first signs of addiction. Feel free to add your own to the list.

The addict will:

1. Start to put his/her iPhone by his/her bed so that he/she can check HDN/eBay on waking

2. Start to use the word emboss far too regularly (or in some cases for the first time)

3. They may ask for opinions about something called 'open or sealed'

4. They appear to become Indiana Jones - always muttering about a search for the Holy Grail

5. They have no money for everyday things yet the postman has pretty much moved in

1. You loose track of how many you bought
2. Your are surprised when a package is delivered because you forgot you bought it a while ago.

2. You find a stash of steelbooks you forgot you had hidden from the wife months ago
3. You are just as excited to receive the new packaging as you are the contents
4. When biscuitnoir becomes a household name and your family hasn't even met the guy, let alone know what he looks like

you forget about pre-orders so far in the future your like "wtf when the credit card gets charged" and your like "ohhhh that steel book"

You have no more room for empty boxes and bubble wrap

You buy things in normal life just because there embossed

You look at your collection and say man I could buy a small car with that money

You go to sleep looking at your collection displayed on the wall

You live, eat, breathe HDN

Your favourite retail sites are play.com, futureshop.com, amazon.ca/.com/.co.uk/.de/.jp, hmv.com

You have to pass by the steel section in future shop if your there for something else even though you were just there yesterday

I definately had this addiction, which is why i had to not come to this site for a few months. I felt like i had to own every steel that was released, and mt credit card was feeling it. Now i can atleast somewhat control myself, to movies i really care about or just badass looking steels.

That's exactly how I feel every time I go to BestBuy. I can see in the corner of my eye people looking at me like I'm cuckoo.

The Pile. That assortment of steelbooks and amarays that you're either getting rid of or haven't found a place for yet. My Pile is beginning to form a rudimentary intelligence.
