Oh, wow, I have the BD boxset, and DVD digipacks - wanted to place the discs in the digipacks - always saying that, but never do...
I also got the Saints of Newark steelbook.
Here we get the cards and... not much else (from the pov of someone like me, who's the majority), so this is primarily aimed at new viewers and starting collectors, who are in their infant stage...
If they package the discs in a wide cardboard book, like The Big Bang Theory or The Shield Complete sets, then I'll buy.
Greatest TV show ever made. Slaps Breaking Bad into second place with an Italian Sausage.

No 4k Sopranos?
L.
It was shot on 35mm film wasn't it. Plenty of scope for 4k.

Yes it would be nice to see on 4k. Greatest show ever made. No, not even close. But it is a great series... You usually wait 30 years before a show is hailed as great or a relic from a past that has "interest"..... Some shows from my youth have aged badly some are still great.

Entirely subjective. Of course. Plenty of other legendary shows out there, no doubt about it.
Personally, I think 25 years is more than enough to hail a show as "a classic". Time doesn't have to dictate greatness.

I rewatched Quantum Leap a few years ago. Still a classic but that's aging very poorly in places.

My breath has been taken away, really, 25 years?
Yeah, from the time of the first season, 1999 - the best year ever, it's been that long...
I wish they still made that 90's Yukon (I know it's a Suburban, I just had a 1998 Jimmy, and prefer GMC).

Greatest opening song too - never have I ever skipped it.
I was also born under a 'bad sign', and my Papa never told me about right and wrong either... :D
There's a rare 'I' version of the song, that I can't find now, where the whole thing is sang from a more personal point, all you/yourselves are replaced with I/Myself - I've been listening to that one for 25 years.

Still yet to watch this despite owing the previous box set for god knows how long :bag:
Should have just waited for the 25th anniversary IMHO

Make time for the first episode only, I think that once you start, the next episode will be watched quicker than a decade or two

This is by far my fav TV show next to Lost, so I'm really pumped for this. I'm not holding my breath for a 4K box since I just don't think the investment on their end would pay off with units sold. Since I don't own any previous box I'm really looking forward to this.

Reckon I must've bought it at least 10 years ago lol. Same with The Wire and Mad Men box sets. I made a start on them all (at separate times of course), but kinda lost interest after a few episodes. I'm weird with TV shows though... can take me a while to get into them. Couldn't get into Breaking Bad for ages, but now it's my favourite ever series next to Lost! Working my way through Prison Break at the moment (tiring of that now too tbh lol), so will probably give one of the other previously mentioned shows a go afterwards.

Understand, I still have only the last season of The Walking Dead to watch, all the other seasons including the penultimate season was on top of. I never watched The Wire or Breaking Bad, and they are on my list too, oh, just remembered I was into 12 Monkey's but because the last season wasn't accessible, I lost interest in following through with that too. Ah well, such is life.

Ooh, Prison Break is great, but you probably should take breaks between seasons with another series, and never watch more than 2 a day.
Paul Kellerman - favorite character:

Check out Oz, if you haven't seen it yet! Although it's DVD only, even streaming is just SD or upscale.

My favorite tv show of all time, I didn't like Many Saints of Newark, I did like the ending though when the Sopranos intro song hits
I was hoping for a 4K release so just gnna wait until we get one, and hopefully that weird CGI scene will be removed,

Think you mean version?

Think you mean version?
What?
I mean first person version lyrics.
The version used in the TV series is a "Chosen One mix", I don't know which came first, but I made myself believe that the one I prefer is the original, although it's written now as a "Detroit Mix" with some other artists mentioned, but the song is exactly the same, just without scratching vinyl noises and with those lyrics changes.
As I did not buy the original CD in the 90's, rather 'napstering' it or whatever, I cannot be sure that's how it's always been called, as we all know things are being changed all the time, and that's why there's all these 'mandela effect' situations.
Anyway, here's the version I mean as it is now:

How are you finding TWD? I slowly lost interest with each new season and finally gave up once they killed a certain character in season 6/7.
