O
Here's the ad for anyone interested btw...

Oh wow I remember this but a much shorter version. But I remember it from only a few years back. Much after nice guys. I dunno, 2019 - 2022 also feel like lost years

You can see why Yorgos likes her

First see her in The Nice Guys
I don't recall but maybe as I have only seen it once... but another reason to revisit as I enjoyed it.

once upon a time in Hollywood
Of course she's in that! That one slipped my mind.

It seems I'm quite the unassuming fan lol

slightly to the side so I can see it in my peripheral lol
Exactly except...

Fully to the side so I cannot see a thing in my peripheral lol

14 days into October and I’ve already watched 28 horror films! (this was the 27th). My mate called my a psychopath last night

That film is a trip.
When you think it's gone just about far enough, it takes another giant leap further.

Icky, sticky, gooey, mushy French body horror madness in Freaky Friday meets The Thing with a dash of Carrie, a smidgen of Brain Dead, a glug of The Fly and a dollop of Society, all mixed up in a giant pot of Re-animator.

4 out of 5

Definitely a "one and done" film for me. Glad I've seen it but never again.

Just watched this the other day, was really interested (even kinda hyped) after all the praise this received.
Thought it was an absolute piece of garbage. Great concept, ridiculously bad excecution imo.
But that's just personal taste I guess, it really baffles me how some people are naming this their favourite movie of the year.

Film of the year...?
Pah, no way man. That's mad. People are mad.
I loved it for what it was, but film of the year. Not a chance.

I definitely thought it was a brilliant shot in the arm of Hollywood, something fresh and something challenging and something interesting for once, both for the actors and the audiences.
It's been a while and then, don't you know it, two or three come along in one year - Poor Things, Saltburn etc. God, even Longlegs too. Bucking the norm. That's bloody fantastic.
But I'm not sure I'd ever watch it again. In fact. All of those. Loved them. Glad they're here. Would never watch again. I'd prefer to rewatch Silence of the Lambs, Blue Velvet, The Fly.
I dunno. Maybe they hit more as a younger person. They stuck with me. God, I'm not old by any account, but watching distinctive, challenging voices in my youth, kind of kept me hooked.
It takes more these days, it's almost unquantifiable to be honest. I can't reason what hits more than others or why.

Watched this myself on Halloween, it was certainly quite something. Thought it was decent although felt like it didn't need to go on anywhere near as long as it did. Got what it was going for thematically but I felt it was a little too on the nose early on, so the end was just a bit ridiculous. Demi Moore was amazing though.

Glad I watched it outside of a theatre as there were definitely a few parts that made me queasy. Funnily enough I'm actually OK for the most part with body horror, it's the more mundane parts of it that get me like needles like others above, although I probably have personal reasons for that given I've had to do them for pets before which I find so hard and as I've had to do them long term for my partner as well. With the more outrageous stuff I feel like my mind naturally just looks out for how they filmed it so it doesn't bother me that much.

However, watching Dennis Quaid eating shrimp at the beginning was genuinely the most terrifying and disgusting part of the experience.

Was finally in the mood to watch this and loved every minute of it! Hope we get some sort of premium, or even just something similar to what Second Sight did for Revenge. Anything but a standard bloody amaray release.

I’d love a second sight of this. It’s on my list of wants in special packaging along with Poor things, Palm Springs, Barbarian, Ready or not, Kill list and Kinds of kindness
