Honestly I'm more concerned /curious about the 4k transfer atm although I still fall on the side that True Lies and Aliens are no where near as bad as people made out. The one video literally had to zoom in 500% on Vasques hair while paused to highlight how her ******* hair did something odd.

While I do wish Cameron would stop ******* with the film grain and using AI to scrub the noise, they still look the best they ever have.

I watched the 4k 2 days back. It's very good. Most people will be happy with it.

Is the included blu-ray just the old disc or a new one with the original mono included?

Unconfirmed, and it will depend by region. The US is 4K only, and the UK has a different disc to czk, for example. From what I can see, though, it's won't be a blu-ray based on the "new" remaster.

I agree with him it's a fantastic transfer. Hdr is far superior to terminator 2. The chase scenes are absolutely stunning.

But then why order it in the first place?

Meh. I want the 4k anyway and the 4k would set me back 25 quid anyway. So getting to double dip on a steelbook for one of my favourite movies is a no brainer for an extra £5. The play.com steelbook is nice though.
