I think the release thread is the obvious place

Of course posting in the GB thread would be completely unnecessary and a distraction to everybody in the GB (including the GB host), as PayPal has already informed the GB host that "payment has been sent to your account".

But maybe the GB hosts are nowadays relying in these "Payment sent" posts instead of the actual payments that have been made to their PayPal accounts

Nothing at HDN baffles me more than the "Payment sent" posts - "Why?" If one wants to thank the GB host, then tip generously - they deserve it
