The Terminator (Blu-ray SteelBook) (Zavvi Exclusive [UK]

I found these regarding the Extended 1st Sarah Kill.
Also the US release as these as Deleted scenes.
The Region 2 and Region 4 Special Edition DVD contain 7 deleted scenes from the movie. The most interesting being a scene that shows Cyberdyne scientists picking through the destroyed T-800 parts and salvaging some (the set-up for the sequel) and another between Sarah and her mother which explains the line "You tell me to pack my things and come to the cabin for no reason..."
The scene where the T-800 kills the wrong Sarah Connor is extended. It shows him totally unfazed about killing someone, and all the children run away.
The R2UK DVD features the following deleted scenes:
A brief introduction to Sarah at work where she practices being a cheerful waitress.
A longer version of the killing of the first Sarah Connor, showing the T-800 walking away from the house in broad daylight, completely ignoring the horrified neighbors and witnesses.

It WAS in the V.H.S CUT in the UK. One of the original relies from the video shop when it closed I naught the copy
. Still have it . If and when I can get past the dodgiest garage door EVER. I'll dig it out . Think thire was also a bit where he ate a chocolate bar . Like I said already NO DVD / Blue Ray had this bit in it .

THANK YOU I KNEW IT . Found your post after I had posted . The BBFC tightened it's rules in the 90'same and that is when the cut occurred.

I sent Zavvi an email asking them about the item as the description in my order status was very vague (it didn't even mention it was a Blu Ray, just ''Terminator'') This is the reply I just got:

I'm keeping my order for now as from what I have heard its possible that the new extras which is a download is only with the new Amaray Blu-ray as that's what Fox announced for Germany release so its possible it will be the same for the UK
German Amaray Blu-ray has this Artwork
Also as Zavvi Amaray Blu-ray has no artwork showing yet I will wait to see what that will be before I make any decisions to cancel

Cancelled this also. So many things coming out, that I must learn to take a step back. If it's not re-mastered, then it's gone. Getting a bit cross at all the stuff that's coming out that's just the old bog standard versions they can no longer sell, shoved in a steelbook. I've already got the Play one, which I adore. I'm finding it annoying that you think you're buying something collectible, only to find a few years down the road,multiple versions start coming out. Where does it all stop? What's collectible and what's not? It's like the Thor/CA/Avengers stuff right now. The BF versions are not really so unique... it's roughly the same steels as HMV and Zavvi... but let's put them in a slip cover and charge what we want... Even their quality standards are falling. It just seems to cheapen the original ones when you saturate the market with so many different versions. Sorry guys, rant over!
I agree with most of that, the blufans versions are nice but not the masterpieces we were originally promised.
I will cancel this once the full Czech version details are announced. Already got the US lenti version so don't need 3, just want a nice steel slipped version to match my Kimchi T2.

The amount of stuff I have on preorder is frightening. Going to have to be more selective.

But The Terminator IS remastered. It was the remastered version in the Play.com steelbook, and this new steelbook should have the same version.
...But I do understand, constant catalogue releases and re-releases are tiresome and a waste of resources.
I've seen this film on Blu-ray ,(multiple) DVD, laserdisc, TV, VHS and original 35mm print. all are exactly the same version i'm afraid (apart from the new sound FX that were used from 2001 onwards for the multi channel audio mix and the re-framing of one shot when The Terminator leaves his hotel room because he's clearly wearing trainers as he's walking down the hall)

The remaster on bluray is gorgeous, The play.com steel is a beaut and im very glad it included the new Remaster on bluray, i owned the previous US release and tbh it wasnt great, im hlad they decided on a remaster.
Cancelled this today, going with the Czech version.
@psychoscot may I ask why? Different disc or extras? Cheaper?
The Czech version will have Full slip, numbered card, post cards. Just like Mazerunner, Exodus, Dracula goodies
Looks like zavvi are at it again, i ordered 2 of these and one has been cancelled. No explanation as usual, just a cancellation notice and 1/2 remaining in the order.
Surely have bigger fish to fry than someone ordering 2 copies, which is something i've done on many orders in the past.
Between this, the avengers catastrophe and the so called 'zavvi exclusive, limited edition, low print run' steels now being offered by extra-vision it's time for the me duck out of the steelbook collecting game. Collector's simply won't collect things knowing that there's a 99% chance of major price drops, re-prints and poor quality items. And a 100% chance of poor service from 'the home of steelbookz'.

Maybe Zavvi are just finally trying to do something to combat the eBay scalpers, i know alot of people order 2 copys so they can open 1 and keep the other sealed but alot of others order just to sell on ebay for stupid amounts.
Zavvi probably realised this when the recent Pirates and Avengers steels went up on ebay a week or so before release.
If you want someone to blame, blame the scalpers, not zavvi.
They are partially to blame but this happens with every kind of collectible item and most other companies either ignore it or limit quantities at checkout, not take it out on customers who are clearly collectors and have spent thousands with them over the last 3 years, the same happened with my Avengers 3D yet there's a guy selling them on ebay with multiple copies available for £29.99!
That said, i don't understand why they bother, to sell at that price there's a minimum cost of £2 postage, plus £3 ebay fees, another quid paypal fees and then other bits like packing and fuel to the post office, even if they get the steelbooks with a 10% code it leaves less than £2 profit on a £25 steel like avengers.
