nope. only heard/read stories about bad packaging ...that's an amazon problem in general.
Does not mean you will receive damaged
I have been using Amazon USA since 2007

Most orders arrived not damaged only a few orders had issues and these mostly was a few years ago and was slipcover releases
I have had recent some Vinyl Records album sleeves with seam splits and that was when packaging was very good  these got replaced no damage
I have ordered over 25 different steelbooks from Amazon USA

I would never decide to not use a retailer based on stories you read
I would try the retailer to make that decision if ok to use for orders and repeat orders
Amazon customer service is good when it comes to any issues you might have

I ordered lot's steelbooks from Amazon USA none arrived damaged
USA to Rep Of Ireland

What country you based in
really? i ordered quite a few from amazon usa and most arrived damaged.. will certainly not try ever again tbh.. i would rather try with wowhd than amazon and that says a lot lol

What packaging are they arriving in @paulboland?

I've stopped using amazon too. I usually get an American friend to help out. Combine multiple items. Works out cheaper and no duty tax either.

Last two steelbooks from amazon.ca were shipped internationally in a jiffy bag!!!! Never again.

Customs had a habit of checking my amazon orders also.....

Much easier now with my new method!!

Rep Of Ireland
Amazon USA includes Import Fee deposit that covers the VAT
The courier is informed of this when shipped it's them who give it customs clearance

On arrival in Ireland if airport or courier scanner registers possible suspect goods inside it's only then that it might be opened and alerted to Customs/Garda if required
It's not opened in regards to value of Vat on goods inside parcel as that has been paid already (That is what import fee deposit is for it avoids all this)

Amazon USA parcels are not delivered by An Post
It's iParcel/Fastway mostimes Amazon USA use for Rep of Ireland
On rare occasions it's DHL

My amazon USA orders are sent in large bubble mailers and boxes it varies depending on item ordered
The large bubble mailers are sealed

I not had any customs issues since Amazon USA started to apply Import Fee Deposit
A lot times I end up getting Import Fee deposit refunded in full or partial refund 2-6 months later from Amazon USA

Since amazon USA started to apply import FEE deposit my orders fly right through and I now get them in a fraction of the time I used to.....
Same with my Amazon USA orders delivery is on average 4-8 days from when dispatched and I get regular refunds of the import fee deposit a few months later
Some are delivered very quick 4-5 days
