It's not the same type packaging as donnie darko it's completely different

It's the same type packaging that was used with limited edition of The Bird with the Crystal Plumage

The packaging is very strong hard cardboard

I think the point he's trying to make is that the Donnie Darko set is also sturdy card (honestly, after watching those videos I'd say DD looks to be about the same thickness as the Crystal Plumage set), yet his copy still managed to arrive damaged. It wouldn't be hard to damage any type of cardboard anyway, no matter how strong it is... it's basically just thick paper after all.

Dornie darko is softer cardboard in comparison and easier to damage

It's very sturdy hard cardboard what you see in the video and is same type used with the thing

Nonsense Paul, the boxes are hardly any different (apart from size), and even if they are a bit stronger, they will still be susceptible to damage if shipped in jiffy packaging as Noodles points out, but regardless, we're going to find out soon anyway how these were posted.

Ona secondary note, it's interesting to note that this set contains an amaray and not a digipak as the mock up shows. Must have been a sudden change of heart or maybe the extra 2000 they produced are the ones with the Amaray ?, maybe there's a mixture of both being made ?

Other Arrow releases in similar packaging show the Amaray sticking out of the box in mock-up pics, but not this...?

Hi I didn't get a dispatch email but on the site it's updated if I go to my account on the Arrow site it says shipped with yesterday's date 17th I paid for 1st class post so it came today

This whole release has been awesome, the wait, the big reveal and the movie itself.

I wish Arrow could obtain the rights for 'An American Werewolf in London' and give it the treatment it deserves. The remaster is great (released in the US) but I'd happily double dip especially for that Arrow seal of approval encoding.
