Had another look at the artwork. This will be one of the best looking UK exclusives yet. Can't wait to have it in my collection. I wish more steelbooks would have simple illustrations like this.

I wanted to give thanks to this comment, because I thought it was spot on. First I couldn't locate the thanks button, then I realised it was my own comment. A great moment as I don't always agree with myself.

Just a heads up if anyone really likes the artwork on this steelbook it's by an artist called dan mumford and you can still get copies at dark city gallery i,ve got his halloween, friday the 13th and fly prints and they really are beautiful in person

Never heard of the guy before so had a look at some of the work he's done.
The art he did for The Thing looks amazing!

I cannot wait to have this in hand and whilst the artwork we chose is fantastic, I still cannot believe the iconic shot in option 1 was not chosen, oh well, CAN'T WAIT.

+1

Can't believe #1 didn't come out on top it either. It was a distant second in the end.

But I'm the same, can't wait to get this either.

The pervs get their way. Again.

Though at least it's not needlessly splashed over the front like on the Dusk Till Dawn steel - I still find that decision crazy...

Agreed. A few boobs and they get all excited. I wonder what the future will hold. Princess Leia in her slave bikini someday maybe?

"Gimme the good old days, when a pair of boobs were a couple of dumb guys."

I think the general feeling was the first and third images had been covered by the front artwork...sometimes you just cant win, if it had been released without a vote option folks would be complaining that the inside art was just a repeat of the cover art, so folks get the chance to vote from a choice of 3 and for something different and when it was voted first get accused of voting for that one cos of the tits... :hilarious:

There's really nothing much to perv about for those of us who are grown-ups (admittedly that doesn't describe everyone on the forums!). It's a good image and something a little different for the inside. The nudity seems to be more of an issue for the people who didn't vote for this compared to the people who did.

Just noticed the title has been amended on Zavvi, now reads;

The Wicker Man - The Final Cut - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook - Double Play (Blu-Ray and DVD)

Great news on the Final Cut - never before released!

Zavvi have finally uploaded some back artwork too. The question is, why one is the real front cover?

I hope it's the original picture, the new one is cropped too small and leaves too much black around the edges. I'm not too impressed with the back but this is the wicker man so I have to get it!

The 'new' front does seem to be a step in the wrong direction but I like the back. It's unfussy and allows the front to shine. It would have been difficult to find something to blend nicely with that great art so I'm pleased that they've gone this route.

Yeah, that alternative front is awful.
EEK!

Well I personally think it looks awesome credit to StudioCanal for commissioning Dan Mumford reminds me of the Criterion Collection covers who often use alternative artwork like the mondo Repo Man by Jay Shaw.
